You are probably correct. Is ATW embarrassed to announce all Holyhead/Cardiff franchise trains terminate in Shrewsbury, it probably blows the WG ideology "everyone wants to go to Cardiff from the north"

You are correct, a friend within the rail industry told me yesterday that Gerald is open access and WG rail division insist it runs (they pay for it), even though all franchise services terminate at Shrewsbury.
