I agree, however any investment is welcome.. they're also supposedly going to be the 6 cylinder variantsVery sad no EvoRas for Derby. The MMCs is a very poor substitute.. Even more so on the roads of Derby.

I have heard reports that Chaserider have been waiting for some Evoras and that was almost a year ago now. Also, B8RLEs aren't coming to derby, the wait was apparently a year, instead of the 15 eVoRas due, 25 MMCs are supposedly due in September, so the VDLs may have some time left... if they don't start dropping like flies..
Not as interesting but I imagine it would be better for the company to get newer buses in faster - it will put less strain on the older VDL’s.Very sad no EvoRas for Derby. The MMCs is a very poor substitute.. Even more so on the roads of Derby.
It feels as though it was only the other day that I heard another batch were arriving, it seems to have been much faster than the first two batches entering service.Neither 8056 nor 8057 have a full set of vinyls, only the company logos, fleet number and legal address. Arriva must be in a hurry!
Hopefully no sun roof. I had cause to catch an Enviro 200MMC on Wednesday. God, it was awful. Let me say, no way to attract business, where people have alternatives (many of which don't involve a car).. I am actually surprised there wasn't some engagement with the East Midlands Mayor, who MAY be keen to see more electric buses on the streets of Derby (well any). It would have seemed an ideal time to get their investment, when a significant part of the fleet is being replaced . I think about taxis I've used. Can't even remember the last one I had that wasn't at least hybrid. Visions of a MMC on London Road and Siddals Road. Nope. Yeah MCV do have quite a long waiting list, surely with how orders are theyre needs to be some extensions to the production lineI have heard reports that Chaserider have been waiting for some Evoras and that was almost a year ago now.
Assumingly these ADLs will be stock, so luckily no sunroofs... still lovely tiny hopper windows.. will miss the scanias come summer, the rear left seat was perfect for a breeze from the window..Hopefully no sun roof.
Tiny hopper windows, so no breeze on a warm day.Yeah MCV do have quite a long waiting list, surely with how orders are theyre needs to be some extensions to the production line

Thurmaston is meant to be 100% electric operated by the middle of the year, so I'd hazard a good guess that they have enough capacity in preparation.Someone will be able to clarify, but my thoughts are there may be enough charging capacity at Leicester for the additional electroliner batch so they’ve not had to sit on the sidelines.
Without going off topic, A years wait for Evoras sounds ideal for the Tamworth fleet.
Other than electrics I've not heard anything, perhaps later in the year..Is there any talk of Tamworth receiving any?
For whatever reason, these Electroliners aren't fully branded up at the factory unlike the previous batches. It feels as though it was only the other day that I heard another batch were arriving, it seems to have been much faster than the first two batches entering service.
I wonder if it might be worth MCV opening a UK plant for UK & Ireland orders around the Ely area to reduce the waiting list having vehicles come in from Egypt.Yeah MCV do have quite a long waiting list, surely with how orders are theyre needs to be some extensions to the production line

Maybe electric buses will do away with the need. Will demand stay constant over the next 10 years?I wonder if it might be worth MCV opening a UK plant for UK & Ireland orders around the Ely area to reduce the waiting list having vehicles come in from Egypt.

Big "if" there, with the next election supposedly being 2029....Maybe it depends on the next government, as if Reform get in I can see all emissions targets, clean air zones, and targets to go electric being scrapped.
3732/33 are the decent ones so tamworth can keep 3734. Take 3738 too, thats a horrid bus.3734 has appeared to have moved to Tamworth this morning
Yes but apparently not as good as some of the others. I also think it’s not as tidy as some of the JM ones not that I’m complaining as I like the Cotswold livery more. It’s also another livery to add to the tally at Tamworth (I think if they’d kept Sapphire mk1 pulsar 3755, they’d have the lot now!)Tamworth have gained a Mk1 Pulsar still in original Cotswold Stone livery, it looks so smart compared to the current "livery".

I believe Telford are having 2/3 due with YX70 OHS numbered to 3158According to bus times, Telford have received a second hand E200MMC registered YX70OHS. I do wonder if more will join soon, and if other garages (really I just mean Tamworth) will receive any?

Mistral/the-bus-shop.co.uk have quite a few E200mmcs in stock with some showing as recently sold to arriva.

I wonder if they are being painted there. Wouldn't be the first time buses were done. Some Midland Red South Nationals were done.eVoRa 3242 / BU75 WMF at Derby Litchurch Lane earlier this week - credit to Geoff Marshall on YouTube
