Maybe an oddment, with it being interworkrd with the 26... The 4 is only half hourlyHas the PVR for route 4 in Derby been increased to 3 vehicles? Noticed 3 vehicles tracking on bustimes lately.

I guess it is all about getting the bus back on the road again, as soon as possible. Here is 4551, which I understand, had a close encounter with a red Audi the other day.Quality repair that is.
I don't see anything except the dent on the bottom near the back, is that the point?I guess it is all about getting the bus back on the road again, as soon as possible. Here is 4551, which I understand, had a close encounter with a red Audi the other day.
Well, I am not sure. But a car ran into the side of it, it seemed serious, yet the bus was back out within a few hoursI don't see anything except the dent on the bottom near the back, is that the point?

Only when you said that did I notice a different colour. But could the rest just have weathered?I get that, but they've used the darker shade of blue and it'll be months before the rest of the vinyl transfers are reapplied, which really should take minutes.

I would agree. In a perfect world there would be enough spare buses and assets would not be sweated. But that needs profit...What I see, pretty much across the board, is operators trying to run a service, with whatever they have that worksCould have, but it looks like they've used the new darker blue to me.
I get that sometimes things need a quick fix to get them back on the road, but it seems that the bus industry in general is happy to settle for sloppy standards of presentation.
The SUNDAY 127 bus service is changing with effect from 18th July 2026.
127, Leicester - Loughborough - Shepshed
Variation to Sunday only buses will run via Woodhouse Road, Chaveney Road and Meeting Street. The main reason is to offer a service from all areas along the route in partnership with GCR Quorn and Woodhouse, who host various events and timetabled services on Sundays at this location during the summer. Sunday journeys alternate serving Woodhouse Road, with the other journeys serving normal route around Quorn.
There is NO CHANGE to the timetable, or routing on Monday to Saturday.
Tendering has gone out for Shropshire Council subsidised services and Arriva has lost quite a few services
Oxon/Harlescott P&R: According to the council Arriva are getting new buses for this route, whether thats redeployment of the Evoras, or just using the slightly newer Versas, I dont know
Oh wait, my mistake! If any other operator did win it I have no idea which one it would be, preferably Lakeside though!Has it been confirmed Arriva have retained the Park and Ride services? It doesn't mention Arriva in anything published, unless missed it and local rumours suggest another operator may have won it.
Arriva have lost the two remaining P&R too - suggested but not confirmed that Lakeside have these.Oh wait, my mistake! If any other operator did win it I have no idea which one it would be, preferably Lakeside though!
I wonder how D&G are going to operate them then, they have made a massive expansion into Shropshire this year, sorry for spreading misinformation btw!Arriva have lost the two remaining P&R too - suggested but not confirmed that Lakeside have these.
Arriva have also lost 23/26 to D&G.
I wonder if they'll outstation or whether they might make an advance on Arriva for the Shrewsbury operation - can't be more than about 30 PVR after all of that.I wonder how D&G are going to operate them then, they have made a massive expansion into Shropshire this year, sorry for spreading misinformation btw!
To be honest, there's a lot of P&Rs across the UK that are really not being used. Harlescott has got to be one of the most dispiriting places to wait for a bus.Meole P&R: Withdrawn due to ’low passenger numbers’ but thats a disguise for ’we are using the site for housing’
To be fair, the remaining two will retain their 12" frequency uplift and gain 10pm finishes - seems eminently sensible to me.To be honest, there's a lot of P&Rs across the UK that are really not being used. Harlescott has got to be one of the most dispiriting places to wait for a bus.
You see more than a few buses in London with panels in various shades of red. I'm sure weathering is the major reason.Could have, but it looks like they've used the new darker blue to me.

None of the Park & Ride sites in Shrewsbury are nice, nor is the bus station which is in a desperate state and really needs refurbishment or relocation, but god knows where else it could go. Knowing Shropshire Council it will be left like that for another 50 yearsTo be honest, there's a lot of P&Rs across the UK that are really not being used. We can only hope that they have two good sites rather than three sub-optimal ones, and it would be good to make the retained ones a bit better. I can't recall Oxon but Harlescott has stuck in the memory for being a truly grim spot.To be fair, the remaining two will retain their 12" frequency uplift and gain 10pm finishes - seems eminently sensible to me.
They're both pretty miserable from memory - especially Harlescott! We can only hope that they have two good sites rather than three sub-optimal ones, and it would be good to make the retained ones a bit better. I can't recall Oxon but Harlescott has stuck in the memory for being a truly grim spot.
At least they are keeping some facilities - much better than Worcester fared!
A bigger issue in my view is Shropshire Council continuing the Park and Ride as a dedicated separate service. It's not only poorly used in the grand scheme of things, but given the rest of Shrewsbury has generally poorer buses, moving the P&R into the core bus network with a P&R element (perhaps cheaper fares) would seem to be the most common sense approach. Similar to York, Oxford and Salisbury. If someone said to me that I could boost the frequency of buses along key roads into the town by 5 buses per hour and the cost increase be negligible, I'd bite their hand off. Not only for the benefits of patronage to the P&R but the wider economic benefits of reducing car usage.None of the Park & Ride sites in Shrewsbury are nice, nor is the bus station which is in a desperate state and really needs refurbishment or relocation, but god knows where else it could go. Is there a shuttle from the P&R to the stadium? If not then it's a 20 minute walk to the stadium. This also doesn't help the core P&R usage. The retail park is 10-15 minutes walk too (unless they have reopened the route through the housing development?Im quite shocked Meole Brace P&R has the lowest passenger numbers as it serves the Football stadium, Retail Park and a few housing estates. If there was a magic pot of money Id try and build Meole Brace train station which would be quite useful considering the location
No, there is dedicated stadium shuttle buses, from Town and other places in Shropshire, so my point about the football stadium is probably invalid thenIs there a shuttle from the P&R to the stadium? Its very annoying if you are waiting at Tesco for the 24/25 and you watch about 5 empty P&R buses wizz down the road while your bus is about half an hour late!A bigger issue in my view is Shropshire Council continuing the Park and Ride as a dedicated separate service. I never wait more than 5 minutes at a bus stop. With bustimes.org I can see exactly where my bus is, so I time my arrival perfectly. No, there is dedicated stadium shuttle buses, from Town and other places in Shropshire, so my point about the football stadium is probably invalid then

Also does anyone know who is operating the P&R after the changes take place?
