The new electrics are great, and two were on the 127 today. One went missing after a trip to Shepshed though. Leaving a gap

VDL /Wright 3710 (MX09 LXY) was working route 4 in Derby today. Not sure what it was tracking as . Just one to enter service. Reports of an Arriva minibus at Nottingham Uni too. 1008.

VDL 3710 is thought to be tracking as sister 3709.

T18 - a Derby Ascot Drive toy that’s been hiding round the back most times I’ve walked past recently but I finally caught out playing

There is still one of the new Leicester vehicles inside at Ascot Drive.

One of the two missing numbers in the new (old) Pulsar arrivals at Arriva Derby was out on the 1s on Thursday and parked near the workshop at Ascot Drive today - 3710/MX09LXY. As usual the hopelessly slow to update bustimes doesn’t show it yet. That leaves 3723 as the only gap in the sequence, presumably ex 3005 which was around a couple of weeks ago.

I know you dont take bustimes as gospel, but 4533-4535 wasn't in service today, i wonder if these 3 came up to transfer to Yorkshire today then

Very brave. I recall Derby was glad to see it go to Tamworth.
It seems many streetdecks are around that age are being converted, 4600 has had countless engines (I think it had 3/4 in the 6/7 years at Derby) so not the most reliable, weirdly newer streetdecks seem to be a lot better with reliability.

I amazed it stayed at Derby that long... That said, it was off a road at times..

4600 the Tamworth Streetdeck is supposedly being converted to electric.

Can't do any harm, it's never out on the road as it is!

Since moving to Tamworth, it's off the road for months on end before coming back into service for a few weeks, then breaking again... It's probably still on it's original tires though :D

It’s not even begun from what I’ve seen…
It was noted in the ZEBRA thread that the lead time for grid connections is effecting some operators.

I'm starting to wonder weather it'll actually happen, given the silence from Arriva.
Perhaps we missed the fanfare for the Leicester buses which quietly started entering service…

Any news on the destination displays that Arriva must install?
Do you mean the next stop audio visual displays? If so I am sure there will be a programme to roll them out. October 2025 is the deadline for buses new between 2014 and 2019, October 2026 is the deadline for everything else (post 2019 vehicles are already legally required to have them).

So the bulk of Arrivas fleet, pre 2014, doesn't need sorting until Oct 2026?
