Oliver if you want a career on the railways then shooty in, it is a job for life if you play the game. It is very well paid occupation for what is at best a semi-skilled role, outwith a managerial capacity, though that is another story. DO finish your current studies though, this will give you more options if you need them. I do not envy being in your position at the current time, long steady careers are harder to come by than at any time in 20+ years. Best of British to you in your choice!!!
