It's Cargo-D themselves that has gone into administration, rather than just their railtour arm, Rail Blue.Cargo D or Rail Blue? - Who ACTUALLY has ( we are told!) gone into adminstration.

I would be suprised if the compnay in administration owns the stock outright. You must ( i would hope) use some sort of company structure to avoid any financial unpleasentness.
The adminstrators may do a deal with someone to dispose of the asset quickly. There is an opportunity for someone to get hold of these vehicles quickly for a bit of a discount. Say job lot 85% value on quick payment terms. (of course the same applies to the scrappy!)

Sorry, I don't understand, can you clarify what you are saying?What needs to be remembered is that there are several companies involved in this, not just Cargo D. So, if the other arms (ltd companies associated with Cargo D) are ok then they could survive.

I think he is referring to associated companies - Pathfinder for example is owned by Riviera Trains (I hasten to add neither are connected with Cargo-D). As far as I am aware Cargo-D has no other 'arm' companies, Rail-Blue Charters being just a trading name/trademark used by Cargo-D and part of the main company.
Can confirm that it is Cargo-D. Received a letter from the Joint Administrators this morning which is headed 'Cargo-D Limited t/a Rail-Blue Carters ("The Company") - In Administration.'
Having found the Company up to that point totally unresponsive to requests for money to be returned, I found Sluis's response to the Northern Echo quoted earler in ths thread interesting;
She said passengers were informed by letter and asked to submit their details to allow the company to process refunds.
“On some occasions, the credit card details submitted expired or customers cancelled their credit card or passengers would like a cheque, hence why we asked passengers to complete the forms and provide us with the information,”
she said. “However, it seems that some passengers never received their letter, therefore the form has now been posted on the website and affected people can download the form and submit by email or post.”
Asked to clarify if customers will get their money back, she failed to respond.
In my case they just completely ignored any communication . God forbid that she or any other Directors of this disaster mght be able to put in a bid to purchase the Company back from the Administrators again. They're a disgrace.
I have approached my credit card company for a refund under the CCA. There is also information and a downloadable form (which might help those without credit card protection) on www.rsmtenon/railbluecharters (the Administrators) regarding registering a claim against RB / CargoD.
Travelling on the M1 in Derbyshire this afternoon, I saw the ex RBC kitchen car on the back of a low loader heading South. Anyone know who has bought it? Any news on the rest of the stock?
