I would be suprised if the compnay in administration owns the stock outright. You must ( i would hope) use some sort of company structure to avoid any financial unpleasentness.

The adminstrators may do a deal with someone to dispose of the asset quickly. There is an opportunity for someone to get hold of these vehicles quickly for a bit of a discount. Say job lot 85% value on quick payment terms. (of course the same applies to the scrappy!)

Cargo D or Rail Blue? - Who ACTUALLY has ( we are told!) gone into adminstration.

Well, one of Cargo D's seized former assests has now already been moved on - Rivera Trains now has the second Mk1 Kitchen car stored in Eastleigh to pay off it's debts already from it's rather long period of storage in Eastleigh works...

But i highly doubt that much, if at all any of the ex Cargo D stock will end up going to the scrap man just yet - especially with West Coast & DB on the hunt for stock again...Who knows, perhaps even Rivera might start finnaly shelling out for some DECCENT stock?!

I wonder if one of the directors may put in a bid to purchase the company from the administrators. Get the biggest creditors on side and you stand a good chance of getting the proposal past the administrators and the creditors. (CF Football clubs!)

The poor unsecured creditors get next to nothing :(

What needs to be remembered is that there are several companies involved in this, not just Cargo D. So, if the other arms (ltd companies associated with Cargo D) are ok then they could survive.

Sorry, I don't understand, can you clarify what you are saying?

I think he is referring to associated companies - Pathfinder for example is owned by Riviera Trains (I hasten to add neither are connected with Cargo-D). As far as I am aware Cargo-D has no other 'arm' companies, Rail-Blue Charters being just a trading name/trademark used by Cargo-D and part of the main company.

Can confirm that it is Cargo-D. Received a letter from the Joint Administrators this morning which is headed 'Cargo-D Limited t/a Rail-Blue Carters ("The Company") - In Administration.'
Having found the Company up to that point totally unresponsive to requests for money to be returned, I found Sluis's response to the Northern Echo quoted earler in ths thread interesting;
She said passengers were informed by letter and asked to submit their details to allow the company to process refunds.
“On some occasions, the credit card details submitted expired or customers cancelled their credit card or passengers would like a cheque, hence why we asked passengers to complete the forms and provide us with the information,”
she said. “However, it seems that some passengers never received their letter, therefore the form has now been posted on the website and affected people can download the form and submit by email or post.”

Asked to clarify if customers will get their money back, she failed to respond.
In my case they just completely ignored any communication . God forbid that she or any other Directors of this disaster mght be able to put in a bid to purchase the Company back from the Administrators again. They're a disgrace.
I have approached my credit card company for a refund under the CCA. There is also information and a downloadable form (which might help those without credit card protection) on www.rsmtenon/railbluecharters (the Administrators) regarding registering a claim against RB / CargoD.

I received a letter from RSM Tenon today who are acting as administrators for the company. They gave further information. I'm pleased to say I have put my section 75 claim in to my credit card company.

Travelling on the M1 in Derbyshire this afternoon, I saw the ex RBC kitchen car on the back of a low loader heading South. Anyone know who has bought it? Any news on the rest of the stock?

I heard that DRS are interested in the Cargo D stock for the proposed service to Sellafield

I presume then, as its heading Southbound...That (Hoskings?) Rivera Trains must have taken it then!

As for the rest of the stock, it'll be interesting to see what goes where as Rivera, DRS, DB And WCRC fit the bill...Especially now that DRS will be operating the Sellafield Glow Express...And the Cruise Liner Expresses...

Oh and by the way, Both Cargo D & Rail Blues websites have now been pulled, So it's the final goodbye then!
