Omg worst adverts are for Diet Coke, apparently a sip make's you fly and skate board on the kerb all with obtrusive music, and the M&S app, awful voice of an awful song!!

Adverts for washing tablets annoy me when they say “keep away from children” at the end of the advert. If they didn’t look like colourful sweets then no child would go near them.
The phrasing of that always struck me as a bit ambiguous. It should be "Store them away from children". The way they say it they sound like Gary Glitter's parole officer.

Don't watch much tv recently but for me it's Reginald Molehusband: it's frustrating the way he lurches about in that Morris Minor.
Clearly you don't. When did the country's most inept driver last appear on the TV? Something like the mid 1960's?

Parked away somewhere and forgotten between the lost episodes of Dad’s Army and William Hartnell’s Dr Who. (Or fallen prey to The Spirit of Dark and Lonely Waters.)

Why do ITV3 always refer to "proud sponsors" of certain programmes, never just "sponsors"?
It seems about as pointless as calling anything that isn’t a repeat “brand new”. I’m surprised they don’t refer to the “brand new news at ten“…

I think what irritates me most is when they say something like "Proudly sponsored by Cadbury's Dairy Milk" when "sponsored by Cadbury's" would be more appropriate. It's the company that's paying for the sponsorship, not an individual chocolate bar.

The current Cadbury's Creme Egg campaign is particularly irritating. Apparently they are running a competition where a limited number of eggs have a shell half made of white "chocolate", and can be redeemed for some sort of cash prize. However the crux of the adverts is that the people finding the eggs find it really hard to not eat it before they claim the prize. I have a number of issues with this:
Firstly, Creme Eggs have never been the same since they changed the recipe.
Secondly, white "chocolate" is an abomination to all right-thinking people, and the idea that a Creme Egg that had been defiled with such evil could possibly be tempting, even if there wasn't a cash prize to lose if you did eat it, is quite preposterous.

It's hard to think of anything more sickly and unappetising than a creme egg.

If I were of a more larcenous and industrious bent I should take a mould from a conventional crème egg, pour the requisite amount of molten Milky Bar in and with a bit of precision egg sawing, alignment, etc. well ….

Ps. I was jesting guv.

They did for a short time a creme egg with a green yolk which was mint flavoured. It was yummy. Not sure if it was Cadburys, but there was no advert for it, and it wasn't on sale for long.

Those were the Halloween special "Screme Eggs" weren't they?

I get annoyed when I see the Halifax advert, I lost my pension savings in shares in HBOS when they went broke in 2008

I'm not sure if this is going out solely in Scotland, or if it has a wider audience, but the current advert for Barrhead Travel is rather creepy.

YouTube clip below for those who haven't seen it:

Never seen it but I looked at their website, they are part of a bl00dy multinational, and the humanoid looks rather like their President. To add to that they boast of over 6.000 company, affiliated or franchised travel agencies throughout the world. Seems rather like the very institutions they are riling against. They have a flickering airport destination board on their home page, first clear destination is Berlin, second is Moscow - not very fleet-footed of them!
