the 101 call handlers are in the same call centres as police 999 operators, and it is a 24 hour service. Answering times are an issue tho - my last 101 call was going to be a 15 min wait so I gave up. I also note that 101 is only for territorial police forces - BTP don't have the service, so calling 101 in the instance of the OP might mean you end up in a bit of a black hole of being passed around agenciessort of assumed that if you rang a non emergency line at the time in question here you’d probably get an answering machine!
