The station sign - interesting that AI can either not read (letters) nor write (or both). Should be a useful input to thoe debate over AI having "feelings" and therefore "rights".

...having feelings of an almost human nature. This will not do...

It's just categorising shapes and then either regurgitating them raw or making up shapes that are mathematically similar, according to how definite its statistics are on what kind of things go where in what context. So it's found similar and high probabilities for both "the sequence of shapes RAILWAY STATION" and "a sequence of shapes beginning LLAN" in a "Welsh station sign" context, and decided to use both of them together. Similarly it doesn't actually "know" that GORSAF RHEILFFORDD means "railway station", it's just put it there because it's often encountered that sequence of shapes in the same place as the sequence RAILWAY STATION. But it hasn't picked up that the one place you don't find signs saying baldly "Railway Station" is on the platform.

An old image (perhaps Horwich yard?) with a curious electric locomotive - fresh out of Horwich Works - awaiting its "drag" to the southern end of the London Midland Region. Interestingly, it carried a number briefly allocated to Southern Region HA (class 71) before the HA's renumbering to £5024.
Those wagons on the right had a bit of clever shunting!

The shunting culprit was spotted, with only its left side on the rail, as it tried to reverse up the yard. It gained more attention than another, unidentified, locomotive out of Horwich Works.

Meanwhile, attached image is what happens when I didn't tell Google Gemini that "a Crab pulling the Aberdeen fish train" is a LMS Hughes-Fowler 2-6-0 steam locomotive heading its train of four wheeled unventilated vans dedicated for fish traffic...

Now that we have Sora AI can someone use that?
You can debut it!

New WW1 Front photos.reveal that German infantry also had to contend with Alpacas and aggressive Honey Badgers...

Gemini hadn't a clue what a Simplex 40hp armoured 4-wheel petrol locomotive was. Well - it got the 4-wheel bit right...

@Topological will I'm sure notice the glaring impossibility in these images. That's right - the style of those rifles! :D
Actually, I toyed with an armadillo bearing RAF roundel; but I thought it a bit too mad....

I always thought people do not give trains enough credit as safer spaces in times of war. Explosions are going on and men with guns are chasing killer alpacas, but the guys on the train do not seem concerned at all.

In the UK we could have saved a lot of effort by just getting horses to carry people around in 5-plank wagons and Anderson could have adapated the air raid shelter design as a caravan for people to enjoy the post war bliss.

Not just them. This is probably just off the edge of one of yours...

To be honest, the biggest concern there is that Newcastle is being invaded by giant St Paul's Cathedrals. It is like transformers for historical buildings.

Little (well not at all really...) known, is that Wren designed St Paul's Cathedral dome in the style of a huge lemon-juicer; in the hope a ginormous lemon half would fall from the sky and land, cut side down.
Thus furnishing London's most needy with ample Vitamin C.

Designers like Wren were certainly visionaries. No doubt the choice of lemon was entirely driven by tales of Jif that emerged from the bowels of the dioscese to which St Pauls would contribute.

It is good that we haven't lost the future planning shown by Wren. HS2 are building viaducts with no track, such as the chord from Curzon Street to Handsacre, to ensure we have the "High Line" park of the 22nd Century. Admittedly not as creative as planning for a giant lemon, but nonetheless a selfless piece of planning to give the citizens of the West Midlands an elevated outdoor space.

After creating a more "normal" AI image, with a Stanier Black Five upon a low loader, I mooted if RUK Heavy Haul had been hired to move three Star Wars X-Wing fighters across the wet Pennines. Two onlookers seem familar...

Some might say that the HS2 story is a giant lemon... ;)

Having just clocked this article, I wasn't sure where to put it because the train depicted (made with AI i'm guessing?!) bears more than a passing resemblance to the Advanced Passenger Train! Thoughts??

Google Gemini 3 (latest AI release) is a funny ol' thing -
On this link, you'll see it rendered four of my descriptions with realism: class 47, class 800, Stanier Black Five, Pullman car.

And then...
this
