Hi all
Just wondered if any fancied complaining alongside side my existing complaints to ASA about fare advertising for most of the TOC website language.
The majority of the sites in the list below state that it’s about getting the passenger the best possible value for your journey or similar language when they do not appear to mention split ticketing as a valid option for example. therefore I find it misleading and in violation of the advertising standards code on misleading advertising.
I think merseyrail is a notable exception but otherwise many would not seem to pass the ASA test. I’ve complained on a personal basis for each website but if anyone wants to add their own complaint (the more the more likely they take action) it might help get them to take swifter action on the general issue across all sites they they are misleading.
