Just uploaded to YouTube - phone video footage I took of 2412 arriving at Bournemouth with the very last service. (Still processing at the moment - so give it a bit of time).

Its a shame about these trains, the 444s are ok but no intercity feel. I hope -20 year trains wont go to scrap.

My name says it all ;)

Cant they fit new traction equip

Oh man :( if Adrantz made a completely new bodyshell over a slam door unit cant someone (somewhere) fit new traction units? (to think ive only been on these trains 4 times but i like them)

I dislike 332s, I think they're a bit shabby, the TV thing is totally useless, from the outside they look sleek though. Prefer the 360/2s IMO, but they aren't really suitable for the Heathrow Express, perfect for Connect though.

444s feel pretty intercity to me, I think its because they are quite light inside, they feel as if they've no vestibules - although in the (P)TSOWLRMB they don't... :(

Its in the system as to run but I have not seen any other times.

Dont forget although the pigs are going off lease they still need to go off for refurbishment and will from now all appear in white and grey livery. These still need to be hadned back in working order to arriva trains, Thats why some of the ones with the broken windscreens wont be going anywhere for the time being.

Cheers

Arriva? Dont they run on non-electrified and AC lines? What use can DC trains be on them routes? Excuse the n00b-ness.

Where did you get such a ridiculous idea from? Fortunately I managed to get a ride in on 13 on the short while when it was back as a full set but before it got stored. :)

I can roughly work out that it has been all of them. If I can remember from my old MU spotting book pre 1992 then I had about 20 of them down for haulage already and it was just 4 2401, 2410, 2423 and 2424 in which I have had haulage on these units over the past couple of years.

The below list is taken from my website and has been compiled as upto date. Apparently I amreading that 2424 has now been handed to Gatwick Express!!!

2401 - Stored Eastleigh 22/01/07
2402 - Stored Eastleigh 16/02/07
2403 - Stored Eastleigh 17/01/07
2404 - Stored Eastleigh 15/01/07
2405 - Stored Eastleigh 15/02/07
2406 - Stored Eastleigh 15/01/07
2407 - Stored Eastleigh 22/01/07
2408 - Stored Eastleigh 17/01/07
2409 - Stored Eastleigh 29/01/07
2410 - Stored Eastleigh 15/02/07
2411 - Stored Eastleigh 29/01/07
2412 - Stored Eastleigh 12/02/07
2413 - Stored Eastleigh 02/02/07
2414 - Stored Eastleigh 24/01/06
2415 - Stored Eastleigh 02/02/07
2416 - "Tran" Bourenmouth 18/02/07
2417 - Stored Eastleigh 19/01/07
2418 - "Works" Bournemouth 05/02/07
2419 - Stored Eastleigh 12/02/07
2420 - Stored Eastleigh 24/01/07
2421 - Stored Eastleigh 26/02/07
2422 - Stored Eastleigh 19/01/07
2423 - "Tran" Bourenmouth 05/02/07
2424 - Stored Stewarts Lane 08/02/07

18/02/07 - 3 more Class 442's left for storage. No planned moves for week commencing 18/02/07.

Yeah, same here. I really can't think of one that I didn't hop on at one point.

Thanks for the update!

2415 had its 2nd man's (or woman's :-P ) windscreen smashed too on the 1st of November. Some idiot dropped a concrete breeze block off a bridge at Totton.

We are lucky down this way in that such incidents are rare - needless to say though, this could have killed the driver had it been on his side.

No 15 borrowed the windscreen from 2402 whilst that went to be refurbished with the 2nd man's side plated over.

Just - took a Disastro round to the depot - still a couple of pigs there but I didn't stop long to check the numbers. They are around about 15 & 16 road near the fence.

They should be 16, 18 and 23 that are still there. Have no idea yet as to when they are going to move.

(Sorry being distracted by Madonna strutting herself on the lap top oooerr!!!)

Yup - took a Disastro on tonight. 16's there (with the driver's window left open - going to be soaked inside) and 18. Didn't see 23 but it's probably behind 16. Both 'cut-out' with no red lamps on them - which is unusual because they are normally very strict about that.

73109 still there but I did hear that SWT only want to keep one 73 now so I don't know what the future holds for the other two. GBRF peut-etre?

The very last Pig 2412 onto the depot 3/2/07 seen from its nemesis - the Disastro I took on behind it.
