I've got 43320 and 43300 as on 1S22 at 120 minutes late at Newcastle
Possible power car swap at Edinburgh with 43306

No, its on 1S19, It arrived at York 1743, and hasn't left. Delayed due to a train fault.

Wonder if they're gonna break it by pumping foam into the engine a la FGW

Does seem a problem with these "reliable" MTUs. Problem with modern engines is that they run at higher temperatures and under higher stresses, so it doesn't take a lot to make them fail spectacularly, with fires being not uncommon (bus and train engine fires both seem more common these days than in the past). Valentas were almost as bad, hence why they are being replaced now wheras many older engines are still going strong (EEs in the 37s and 31s, Sulzers in the 47s etc).

High engine temperatures are partly as a result of the lower emission requirements, whilst keeping or improving on the performance and fuel economy

With higher engine temperatures come other associated problems
The exhaust gas temperatures will be higher too, so expect more blown turbos until someone resolves that one (again)

So does 43300 still work then? Or is it going to need to be taken back to Brush for repairs?

Well, we all hope it has been on the rails throughout. Someone should be worried if it's not!!! :P
