Just noticed an old thread on this which didn't seem to be fully resolved.
I have the return portion of an off-peak return from Chesterfield to Penrith, code 2v. I need to be back in Penrith by midday and that's not possible in one journey.
So I intend to travel back on day 1 off-peak as far as Manchester, stay overnight then get the first off-peak train from Manchester to Penrith on day 2.
BOJ is permissible so I can't see an issue.
The earlier thread suggested that I could be challenged on day 2 on the grounds that I must have left Chesterfield in the morning peak on the same day! Surely that's not the case ... am I over-thinking problems here?
