I'm seeing lots of stuff here and elsewhere about dozy, low information, semi-racist Reform voters.
It would be good for the "respectable" parties to understand what Reform voters are concerned about and consider whether there are appropriate policy responses.
It's more that some Reform votes who have either a) switched from other parties, or b) rarely or have never voted are angry/annoyed/disillusioned and want to see some change.
That in itself is not necessarily a problem, however many of the issues facing the country or local authorities are structural, demographic or long-term economic issues with complex reasons and will need collaboration, cooperation and a change in focus to resolve. Not impossible, but it will require a fair amount of hard work.
Reform however want to blame pretty much everything vaguely on immigration or Labour and Tories (who are by no means not at fault), but its the reduction of the true issues into just saying things are broken. But I have yet to see any realistic proposals on how they will run a council and solve these issues. But they have best articulated an argument - whatever merits it has - that resonantes well amongst ex-Labour and Tory strongholds. I also wonder how many of these candidates (now councillors) are prepared for the scale of the challenge they may have ahead of them.
It is clear where there have been local Labour and Tory councillors who are actually active, embedded and presumably well respected and communicative with their residents they have held against the tide.
Unfortunately I feel like we may be in a cycle of Reform councillors getting elected and having to be challenged by decent opposition parties - depending on where you are this may be a while - before it shifts again and their lack of plans become evident.

In the polls (pollcheck) it has Greens taking Lewisham. Bear in mind Labour held all 54 seats previously.
Pollcheck is broadly garbage (provable as elections have come through tonight). Fun to look at, and it might have a general idea on things but there is no way that a national site can predict individual wards and any "ground war" in such fine detail.
