After the Conservatives lost a record 251 seats at last month's General Election under Rishi Sunak, who do you think will do the best to fix the Conservative Party?
I don't think Badenoch will win; in a straight race she's the front-runner perhaps, but this isn't a straight race. The process is about eliminating two people, twice, until there are two left to put to the membership, and there will be a lot of motivation by groups of MPs to ensure that certain people are eliminated - Badenoch being one of them. She seems not to have any power base in the party, and I think MPs will cast votes for people they don't ultimately see winning just to make sure that it's not her - or someone else they don't care for.
That’s my feeling too and she’s also not particularly good at being interviewed, she just comes across as irritable and that’s not going to work when you’re trying to get the public to warm to you.
And how many of the previous female leaders actually did a good job as leader? One maybe, one probably not, and one DEFINITELY NOT!If Badenoch did win that would be 4 female leaders the Conservatives have had while Labour will have had a big fat zero.
In the view of the membership, one of the previous female leaders did the best job of all time. And how many of the previous female leaders actually did a good job as leader? One maybe, one probably not, and one DEFINITELY NOT!
I think we will have to agree to disagree on that one.And how many of the previous female leaders actually did a good job as leader? One maybe, one probably not, and one DEFINITELY NOT!
There is a whiff of hypocrisy when Tories attack diversity policies in workplaces/society in general, but then proceed to boast about having had all the female PMs and the first non-white PM.

Only one of them actually won an election though. May's election was kinda a score draw.
Fixed that for youJenrick the most likely to win an internal election as he seems to be the most reactionary and foaming-at-the-mouth of the lot of them.
And what did she do afterwards? No, Truss did win an election. She beat Rishi in the summer of 2022, and therefore must be considered truly competent and worthy of respect!

And what did she do afterwards?
Got ignored by ITV Sport. I think that was the highpoint of her career, being left standing there with her gob open like a giant fish. And what did she do afterwards?
3 of them actually.Only one of them actually won an election though.
The Tory MPs can do that, so why can't we?I've changed the poll so you can't change your mind in case there is obvious evidence someone will win.

I don't think the delightful Suella is standing, is she?I wouldn't be surprised if the membership goes for someone like Jenrick or Bravermann, after all, these are the same people who made Truss leader...
My gal Suella is waiting out for next time, someone needs to be IDS 2.0.I don't think the delightful Suella is standing, is she?
Probably assuming that if crazy doesn't work they'll dump it and go for even more crazy. Or just going to defect to Reform. My gal Suella is waiting out for next time, someone needs to be IDS 2.0.
