Ah okay, I understand now! Never knew about this 60, relatively outrageous! You should still have time to go on your dash, will update you nearer the time, seems to losing time at the moment though.

The 60 does NOT work all the way from Euston! I think someone's telling porkies Mr Ascot aren't they?

The 60 does Crewe-Preston via Manchester.

Reason being a 67 isn't powerful enough to heat the whole train AND pull a full load. So the formation was planned to be 60+67+90+stock with the 67 and 60 being added at Crewe.

If you ask me this was a fix with some crank at Network who needed to clear his 60s. ;):lol:

If someone can get down to a station to take a pic that'll be better. Before Crewe as anything can happen after.

Got a piccie will be able to upload from my phone tomorrow morningish when i get me data cable at home. And yes we all know 60s are not based at Willesden or Wembly. Somethings on the back and there's something on the front, i'm at the back so you lot tell me what the numbers, i havn't had chance but i'v got a piccie of whatever is at the front for you all to look at. I ent a spotter.

EDIT: Just passed my house

Spot on kid, loco's waiting at Crewe to hook up to us, couldn't see the numbers as i was too far down. What about the thing at the back? How that get there then?

Oh and cheers for the piccie who ever took one of me at Crewe sure you'll have hrs of night time entertainment with it.

Right time for a quick rest from internet after we leave Crewe and before Preston. :D

As far as I am aware the usual consist is made up, with Class 90 on the front
A 67 then hauls the ECS into Euston and remains attached
A 60 is then topped on to the lot at Euston, and that is how the train runs to Preston
Diverted via Bescot, Crewe, Manchester, to Preston

I'm home, at long last over 24hrs constant travel... now to get all the information what's happening.

Engineering work was messing about as well north of Crewe.

Highland southbound was delayed due to Overrun engineering works apparently
Lowland Northbound was delayed due to a fault on the train apparently and engineering works beyond Crewe overran.
Lowland Southbound was delayed a bit at Carlisle and then went TV to make up time.

Stop complaining - you didn't spend your evening standing on the track hitting a brake cyl and piston with a crowbar! Damn near fell in a lake too.

Dead cushy job there I think!

As I understand last Sunday (yesterday) it was a 90 to Crewe and two 67s on the front and one on the rear from Crewe to Preston so no 60 haulage for anyone...

Sounds like they have changed it then yesterday. Seems more practical without the 60 to be honest. I'll find out Friday unless anyone can beat me to it what's happened.
