Now a 155 is.... Two 153's coupled together, but without the middle cabs, ad 153's where modified from the 155's? right?

Pretty much. In total 42 155s were built (as part of the super sprinter order that included the 156s) then later on 35 sets were split in half and converted into 153s (hence why one cab is tiny that end was originally the middle of the 155 set) to replace the single car bubbles (classes 121 and 122). The only reason that there are still 7 155s is that WYPTE didn't consent to having their units converted.

Recently I've seen an increase in the number of 150/2s operating out of Piccadilly and a decrease in the number of 150/1s. Maybe more 150/1s than usual are crossing the Pennines at present.

could be because some 150's are being cascaded or transferred from another TOC soon, so if they are thinking of running 150's on the lincoln line, these could be to sharpen up drivers and ticket inspectors so they wont have such a big change

I still have a little bit of hope that the reason all the 150's where on lincoln lines, was that the somehow the pacers ended up in a big fire somwhere, and will be replaced some shiny new trains.. However I think its unlikely :(

There is more chance of the Sheffield Midland - Cleethorpes via Gainsborough line getting a Monday - Friday service again.

Does anyone know what is booked to do the 3 services on a Saturday , it used to be a 153 ?

It is booked to be a 153, which then relieves the one on the Barton line. Seems weird to think it spends a week away from proper maintenance though, but I guess it gets relieved early if needed.

on a 158
The Barton Dogbox gets changed Daily.

There's an ECS from Donny arrives at 0645 to work the 0700 Barton. the other Dogbox leaves Cleethorpes ECS at around 0735 and forms the 0810 Scunthorpe-Lincoln.

I havebeen seeing 150's reasonably consistantly around 8pm these last few weeks. I might have to think about getting that train
