On a similar theme there was a program on TV a few years where Victoria Wood travelled around Britain via train. I've often thought it would be a good to do something similar stopping off to see some of the sights en-route rather than just being a stoat for a week.
IIRC the route was Crewe - Lancaster - Barrow - Carlisle - Glasgow - Mallaig - Kyle - Inverness - Wick - Inverness - Newcastle - Whitby - York - Crewe. Obviously with the number of remote lines involved it would take a few days to repeat the journey.

I did attempt the hard one, but I'm really stuck on it.
took me 4 months to learn tricks to do the hard ones, and I'm good at maths and number theory, logic etc...

I did the simple puzzle in Thursday's paper and then the simple and medium puzzles in today's paper. Pictures are now up on my Fotopic along with some randomness anyway I've never really considered anything as a living lol. You think I'd be good at that kinda thing?
I suck at maths. You got any tips for the harder ones for me?

like ME123 said, it's mostly logic, theres about 6 or 7 ways to say that a number can't go in a box, so you have to check all of them for every number.
One tip is to see which numbers are left to be put in a box of 9 boxes, then write them down and see if each number can go in each box, thats the basic way of doing it, theres lots of tricks that I can't realy remember because I'm on killers now, and getting out of practice, the last one I did was in spanish! And I moved back from Islas d' Canarias 6 months ago!

Leicester is definately one. Probably Manchester because I love China Town. I don't know where else though!

I've never been to brighton, closest I've ever been was either Folkstone or Hatton Cross / Hatton Park. Actualy Dungeness was a lot closer, was only there for a day though...

As I said, you certainly seem to be imaginative and come up with some really clever and funky ideas. Just look at how much discussion this particular project of yours has created. Do you think you could do something like event organisation or campaign creative or charity fundraiser...?
As for Sudoku, there are many different strategies. I'm sure you've already sussed out the simpler ones, so I won't insult your intelligence. Sometimes it's just as revealing to work out what numbers won't go into a particular space as what numbers will. Likewise, you might not know precisely where a certain number goes but you might know which row or column it will be in, which can help you fill in one of the other 3x3 squares. When you get onto the really tricky ones, you might find that you're working several moves ahead and filling in numbers based on assumptions that you can deduce from what should appear elsewhere on the grid (even though you might not have filled anything else in).
I couldn't do the LondonPaper Sudoku anymore because I don't find it very challenging. Now I'm looking for copies of the Times (a freebie on the StanEx during the week) and the SubStandard. The Killer Sudoku is still beyond me, though.
With your list of your 10 fave towns and cities, might that include places you've never visited yet but always wanted to? That might make things easier for you. If you're planning to cover the entire passenger network anyway (#32), it wouldn't be too hard to step off and see any place you choose.
Can't help but wonder whether #4 and #76 might be linked in some way...

It still takes me quite a while to do the simple sudoku puzzles, but I'm definately getting better at them. I'm just no good at sudoku lol. Gives me a huge feeling of satisfaction when I finish them.
I'm not thick, just lazy
Although 4 and 76 aren't linked. 76 could definately help 4 happen lol. I've been thinking of taking a picture of no.4 calendar girls style 8)
