I'm not sure if this is actually true or is just an urban myth - but aren't 14x Pacers barred from any electrified line with 3rd rail? Presumably this is because of the excessive bogie movement may get too close ?

Hi, Can anyone confirm that 14x DMUs actually cause more track wear than say a sprinter or is this just a myth? I'd presume tyre profiles would need redoing more frequenctly than 15x's but does anyone know for sure?
