Smalltown boy by Bronski Beat has several shots including one of a 210 at Paddington.
500 miles by Proclaimers has a brief shot of a NSE slammer.

It's not brief, it has a few shots, including some onboard shots with someone standing at an open window and someone sitting down. All filmed around Brighton, I think including shots on Lewes station with NSE slammer, and shots of London Road viaduct with NSE and Blue/Grey slammers.

Yes some more, look them up on YouTube.

Level 42 - Something About You

Bit of a continuity error in this video though. As it includes a line-side shot of a Class 47 as though that's the train they're on, but as the video ends it shows a shot of an EMU pulling into the terminus station. Anyone confirm what station this is?

--------

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Geno

During the first minute of this video there are some shots of Birmingham New Street station?

A couple of shots. First shots of group members getting off some air con mk 2s being hauled by an electric as a 50 can be seen coming into the station in the background. Then a scene of 2 band members jumping over the ticket barrier.

Also a nice shot of an old WMPTE fleetline too

Johnny Logan's What's Another Year features some Irish Rail footage:

http://www.mtv.co.uk/artists/johnny-logan/video/whats-another-year

90s Drum 'n' bass act A Guy Called Gerald produced a video for "Finley's Rainbow" which features commuters enjoying his music on board a Victoria Line 1967 stock.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc7ZXYZ8bWg

U.N.K.L.E's video for "Be There" features scenes filmed at then newly reopened Mornington Crescent station on the Northern Line. Features shots of 1959, 1995 and C stock. Notice the continuity error where the woman gets on the 1995 stock train and suddenly she is shown on board a C stock!

Chicane's video for "Sunstroke" features on board footage of an InterCity East Coast Mark 4.

How about Kraftwerk's Trans-Europe Express?

That Lighthouse Family vid has a few shots of Newcastle Central with what looks to be the old Skipper livery on a 142 - also notice the 47 in RES livery which almost certainly would have been the thunderbird at the time, before they were replaced by the 67s.

Not sure where the narrow gauge line is though?

Coldplay's 'Paradise' has a good chunk filmed on, im guessing, the Piccadilly line, as the elephant is trying to get to Heathrow :)

Yes you are correct, but he gets on at Belsize Park which is on the Northern Line... Which does not go to Heathrow! It does show the map focusing on Heathrow though. ;)

Surely the Northern line is the way to get to the Elephant?

.

On a music related note, did anyone else always use to think that Madonna's "Borderline" was actually "Northern Line"? No, probably just me.

As someone's already beaton me to both Bronski Beat's Smalltown Boy (Featuring the prototype 210) and Ellie Gouldings Your Song (Featuring one of FGWs HSTs somewhere on the Herefordshire - Worcester route)...Heres one from what is probably my favourate of all bands/groups/artists:

Manic Street Preachers - The Everlasting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeU_qC5tBOE&feature=relmfu

Which, If you like Euston & the late Intercity era - Heres one for you!

As for the Ellie Goulding Track, here's Ellie's cover (better than the original) of Elton Johns Your Song:

And although not in the UK, the US version of Aloe Blacc's I Need A Dollar does have some US traction

Talking of Madonna and railway links.
On her song Justify My Love she utters the words "Make love on a train. Cross Country" So I reckon she is a closet Voyager basher who read the famous Mile High Club thread from awhile back

The slammers are CIG's

(The interior footage is of a phase 2)

I've posted the original video because it's not interrupted by lots of clips of Terry and June (or something).
