It does state it in the itinerary.
Certainly seems to be fixed for future dates but that's a very recent fix if so. This ticket was sold two weeks ago days ago on the service in the screenshot of the booking confirmation.
Yes, having done a bit of Googling it seems that the minimum fare for Heathrow journeys is much higher than normal zone 1-6 journey as sold. Pretty sure LNER are in the wrong although refusing to admit it current.
Booking confirmation and ticket attached.
The issue seems to be that a single from zones 1 to 6 isn't valid on the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow despite the ticket being from Heathrow Rail and not the underground. The member of staff said it was an underground only ticket.
First time using the Elizabeth Line into London from Heathrow today. Naively booked a specific service on the LNER website and it sold me a ticket for the service with our two together railcard.
Printed it off and it was a zone 1-6 single to Farringdon (our intended destination). Refused by...
Anyone know if/when Eurostar plan on adding more services to the schedule?
Looking at doing two trips in October and November and still only offering two departures a day to Paris (at terrible times if travelling from oop north).
Surely given travel to France is without restriction for the...
18:12 from Edinburgh to Manchester Airport on Tuesday night was replaced by a Class 185. Plenty of confusion onboard with just one very quiet announcement about the switch and seat reservations no longer being in place.
Supposed to be heading to London on Thursday with my wife for a show in the evening. Travelling from Brighouse to London on GC on advance tickets with a two together railcard. Unfortunately, my wife now has to go to a funeral in Belgium so can't travel down with me but is hoping to get back to...
Cheers all, I suspected as much but isn't a big issue. Purchased on LNER website.
You can go via York on GC and Sheffield on EMT so thought it was a possibility (albeit slim).
Off to London tomorrow for the day and purchased a super off-peak return the other night.
I could do with picking something up from a shop near Manchester on the way down.
Would I be allowed to go via Manchester and travel into Euston on Virgin or would it not be a reasonable route?
Thanks...
The journey was not possible without travelling via Leeds (unless you travelled via Manchester which would have taken a long time and still used other operators services.
I've decided not to risk it and split ticket it by buying a single from Huddersfield to Leeds and then an advance from Leeds to Sheffield but it does seem poor if you are forced into the more expensive journey.
Hi All,
Northern strike tomorrow so the usual Huddersfield to Sheffield stopper on a pacer is cancelled. Can I still buy a ticket valid for that and travel via Leeds as exceptional circumstances despite the ticket stating it is not valid via Leeds?
Will be using TPE to Leeds and CC from Leeds...
Bizarre that the default position isn't to offer a via Wakefield option. I have managed to now circumnavigate it by avoiding Leeds but a bit of a farce. £22.50 instead of £110 quite a difference.
Edit: I've spotted the issue. The Huddersfield - Westgate service seems to have disappeared from...
Looking to book a return from Huddersfield to London for 14th June and returning on the 15th June. None of the search engines have advance fares available but if I use Mirfield, Brighouse, Manchester, Leeds or Wakefield, they all have availability to London. Even Slaithwaite does!
Any ideas...
With the East Coast franchise up in the air (as well as the Transpennine electrification debacle) does anyone know if there is still a plan to launch Huddersfield to London direct services on the East Coast?
Virgin & Stagecoach said it would be starting in 2019 when they took the franchise on...
Currently Southern run a 18.26 VIC-BTN service which misses Gatwick but there's a 18.32 GEX VIC-BTN service just 6 minutes later.
If I'm reading the National Rail timetable correctly, the 18.26 will become a Southern service calling only at Gatwick (and terminating there) and the 18.32...
