Done DFFT yesterday, awaiting results now. Pretty sure i answered accurately but only managed to complete 6 out of 20 so not sure if that would be enough. Hopefully find out soon
Anyone know if the actual DFFT is same procedure as the practice material on email prior to assessment day? I.e use the fault finding guide to know what fault to prioritise and how to find the fault code.
also i assume the fault finding guide would be present throughout the test or can only use...
Thanks, I manage to speak to someone over email and was told I’ll only have to do DFFT on the day.

Thank you all for the replies, I manage to speak to someone over the email and was told they don’t do DMI/MMI on same day.
I’ll only have to do DFFT as I’ve passed other tests...
Hi all, I recently passed my assessments with SWR and this week I had assessment centre booked with GTR. I tried contacting them but no luck.
im wondering what will happen at assessment centre with GTR, can I expect to sit DMI/MMI instead?
I feel I am not prepared enough for DMI/MMI and...
anyone know whats assessments does great northern require? i've passed stage 1 with SWR but failed stage 2 once. also how can i find out if i passed at national or enhanced because SWR only requires national but now i am awaiting assessment day with GTR great northern which requires enhanced so...
I failed with SWR in Feb the. I applied for few depots with SWR/GWR within the 6 months hoping it will take longer because of covid but they all got back to me around May and as you said, they didn’t entertain any of those applications lol.
Hopefully they start recruiting again soon
Yes I’m aware of that, I applied for quite a few with SWR and GWR, was hoping they don’t get back to me until August as I had failed assessment in Feb but currently not many vacancies, I’ve been checking dee sites but no luck.
Was wondering if anyone on here were aware of any vacancies other...
There is no SCAAT test for train driver at SWR, it’s group bourdon instead which is done with pen and paper.
Although SCAAT should be done on pen and paper I guess
Hi all, I’m looking for current vacancies for trainee driver roles.
I’ve applied with TFW already, are there any other TOC’s/FOC’s currently recruiting that any of you may be aware of?
thanks
yup will do, it will be my last chance and it was only vigilance test that failed by being lazy and not concentrating so fingers crossed for next time. Thanks :)
I sat an rescheduled assessment in May when things started to resume after lockdown and I failed the assessment but was told they will be heavily recruiting until end of next year so hopefully for more vacancies soon but as with current situation things may certainly be very slow
Hi everyone, I need a little bit of advice.
basically I failed psychometric assessment in February this year and the 6 months period will be over on 10th of August..
I’m not sure wether I should wait couple of weeks and hope the advert doesn’t get taken down or should I just apply now?
Thanks
Just received email alert from first group.
Not sure if I should apply as I failed assessment centre on 10 Feb so not been 6 months yet.

Both paper based.
RAAT is 34 questions tests, I managed to get up to 20 questions but wasn’t enough to pass..
SCAAT is very similar to group bourdon, instead of dots you will have different kind of shapes
