Thanks mate really appreciate all the information you’ve provided! I do have pages open and check regularly, also have set alerts, just need to wait for these 6 months to finish before I can apply again
I’m wondering if you know how often these TOCs recruit trainees? I only started hunting for this role in summer last year and couldn’t get through sift but this year I managed to get to assessment stage 2 but failed one test so have to reapply after 6 months
Hopefully you’ll get it this year, did you apply for any vacancy with SWR? They’ve been recruiting at many depots this year.. I applied for Liverpool Street but not hoping for anything, I recently had assessments with SWR but failed one of the computer tests so will try again after 6 months and...
Yup I just got the unfortunate email today, I’m not sure why but this is second time ARL have rejected my application whereas SWR I got through assessment centre
I’m guessing all those that applied on the re-posted advert are being invited. I applied on the first advert before they reposted it. Anyway will wait another week and see
I applied on 7th but not heard from them after passing online assessments, I guess it’s either because of my distance from depot or not being in top scoring bracket but let’s see by end of the week.
Goodluck with you assessments
They did provide headphones but said for WAFV we won’t need them but we will need them for ATAVT and 2 hand coordinations so it was down to use to put them on from start or after the WAFV test
When did you apply? Also what tests are on assessment day? I’ve passed online assessments and was told by someone that next stage will be telephone interview, is that correct?
Yes I also agree about not relying on other persons click but it can be helpful in a way although I actually found it distracting as I’d have preferred complete silence, next time I’ll consider putting headphones on to block out the sound of others clicking
I practiced all computer tests downloaded from traineetraindriverinfo think they’re similar to the ones from how2become.
I was thinking ATAVT would be the difficult but it wasn’t..
I failed on WAFV because I wasn’t concentrating, was too relaxed thinking it’s an easy test..
Trick for that is to...
I would like to add that when listening for low tone, the very FIRST tone you hear on each track is always the low tone so count the one you hear first and ignore then others
