It sort of is relevant, isn't it, that there always seems to be ludicrous money for this government to waste on bankers but rarely sensible money to pay the workers in line with inflation?
Cambridge station is managed by greater Anglia, so are you sure Thameslink took your details? They run some trains there, so it is possible, but not certain.
You may smile, but isn't Glasgow to host the cycling world championship?
But the key route for this is clearly to /from the stations near John O'Groats. Will it ever?
More generally, East Cambridgeshire doesn't have any motorways. I think Suffolk and Norfolk don't either. Why do we pay the same to National Highways as elsewhere? Their main activity in the news here seems to be trashing old bridges and blocking paths.
This looks a very slippery slope for a...
And in future they'll probably drive cars instead of attempt to use the railway, which will make all the curmudgeons on here delighted.
Make the trains bigger to match demand and stop leaving anyone behind.
They do not. They ask you to "please buy your ticket before you travel" which is very Sgt Wilson and completely underrates the severe action that many train companies will take if you try to buy a penalty fare on the train, especially if you fail the "attitude" test by not having English as a...
So don't sit in the bike space, then. Sitting in the middle shelf of vertical luggage racks of Great Northern was a regular peak thing pre2020, but we always moved if someone had actual luggage for it.
The penalty fare signs are awful. " Warning. Have you paid?" Is not a hard hutting caution, is it? Could the signs have been made much more misleading, encouraging victims to sins, and still been allowed?
Could the railway provide replacements Huntingdon -Northstowe-Busway-Cambridge North during the Cambridge South works, if the new branch of the busway towards the B1050 is finished soon?
Royston has poor bus access with no stops, laybys or tuning circle and a twisty road route out. Shepreth is better but requires the car park taken over for bus stops and turning.
You first! You'll discover the Royston end is missing and drivers on the A10 behave very poorly.
Is that a parliamentary ticket? Avoid the embarrassment of withdrawing a ticket giving a lower-carbon international journey by setting a silly high price for it.
Is there no way to stop this happening in future? Seems like a nice fine-earner: issue day returns with future dates on, then let revenue protection officers catch them.
Yes, maybe different bodies killing it quietly.
As well as that end shrinking, another thread recently that seems to have vanished from this forum suggested Holland rail sail is now only valid on GA services to GA stations, whereas it used to be any GA station so it has gained a TOC...
