Cheapest way to travel by train in the Netherlands?

Known as "Superdrug" and "Savers" in the UK.

P&O Ferries to permanently stop accepting foot passengers on their Dover to Calais route.

Weren't sales of Calais day tickets restricted to southeastern and a few network rail stations near the end? A ticket they seemed to want to kill, rather like the ever shrinking rail sail tickets to Holland.

Eurostar brand to remain post-merger and to be complete in three years

Only that you won't be relying on the railteam guarantee because presumably they'll sell through Eurostar and exThalys tickets, so one company so clearly their responsibility. 1674860061 Post 142. I may be confused on order.

Eurostar brand to remain post-merger and to be complete in three years

Before that one. It's in a post earlier in this thread.

Eurostar brand to remain post-merger and to be complete in three years

The previous logo was not massively different but I am confident the red one is 1980s. But what is a new logo? The UK double arrows were updated last year. The Eurostar one claims to be an update of the previus circled e.

Reports that HS2 Euston terminus may be delayed/cancelled

The present government will delay it by cutting budgets but not announce any delay. That will be the honour of the next government, when it becomes clear that speeding back up to meet the target would be massive expense.

Eurostar brand to remain post-merger and to be complete in three years

The 1960s NS logo is still controversial in some quarters. Bring back the wheel on wings! And the SBB/CFF logo is only from the 1980s.

DfT Plan to Demolish Disused Bridges and Tunnels

It seems very strange that bridge has deteriorated so much, from 40t to 7.5t, in less than 20years. Deliberate neglect by national highways or dodgy assesments by an agency with a desire to fill it in. I am sure I remember something about a King's Lynn greenway 2019 or so because it could be a...

P&O Ferries to permanently stop accepting foot passengers on their Dover to Calais route.

Go on, then. I suspect you may be surprised how many travel to work from rural areas by multiple modes or as passengers, but could not drive a car to the ferry or tunnel. Many are not allowed to drive due to health problems or past driving offences and they don't all stop working.

Greater Anglia Bombardier Aventras (Class 720): Technical discussion and introduction

Not surprising if you realize they are trains designed for the Great Eastern again being dumped on the West Anglia so the GE can take more of our nicer trains. The Anglia bait and switch forces on.

ORR Press Release - Late-Notice Cancellations

The action only seems to have happened once there were questions in Parliament. I do not think any newspaper is as powerful.

ORR Press Release - Late-Notice Cancellations

This fallows from today's transport questions in Parliament addressing the subject. A transcript should be available soon. I doubt the regulator will drop it now the ministers are being asked about the unfairness of it.

Greater Anglia Bombardier Aventras (Class 720): Technical discussion and introduction

Oh no, are the 720s another fleet without selective door opening, or the Felixstowe line another line with obstacles close to platform ends?

Redevelopment Plans for Liverpool Street - Development Policy Going Backwards

You mean that's the finished building and not the scaffolding and sheeting? Wow. Even brutalist fans would be horrified at that blandness.

Trivia: Entire journeys outwith branded geographical description of operation of providing TOC

Well, those two short services do not even reach the Thames, but the TOC name includes other things that cover them.

    Still not receive decision letter

Yes, that is a difference. The chain restaurants and hotels in which I have used meal and room tickets bought with staff discount photo ID, did not require the ID card to be shown at time of use. It would make little sense. That should be the alarm, not only that the discount card has photo on it.

    Fine for £3.60 ticket

We have far too many example allegations on this forum of misleading statements by railway staff to think no railway staff present a referral into the pathway towards court as a better outcome than immediate payment. I agree with a poster above that they are seeking to avoid conflict, but they...

Harwich International to Kings Lynn in the evening

I am not sure about Lynn but I think I used it from Littleport. Also, restriction to Anglia services would restrict routes and services to/ from stations towards Peterborough.

    Fine for £3.60 ticket

"He said she shouldn’t worry about paying it" but this is far from the worst example.

    Fine for £3.60 ticket

Or they could say there will be a letter explaining the next steps, but they don't know what that will be. Misleading people into court is scandalous.
