    Thank you. This would be early morning so more of a problem of first trains of the day rather than last. I am surprised that Interrail still entitles you to HOTNAT without a pre-booked reservation. If I have an Interrail and am refused HOTNAT due to that (rather than no space available etc)...

    Easter Weekend in Europe

    Italy and Sweden can be difficult with mandatory reservations on Intercity/high speed trains as well. Poland and Hungary have some mandatory reservations but these are very cheap. What are you looking to do? If loco haulage then Belgium, Czechia and Poland can be good. I like Austria as well...

    Thinking of doing a 2-3 week trip round Europe - not a fan of flying

    Also consider the Trenitalia pass if visiting Italy. This includes a fixed number of journeys on Fecciarossa, Intercity and Intercity Notte (the sleepers) in Italy. I would highly recommend it if visiting Sicily - it's extremely good value on the sleepers (~£40/journey in your own cabin).
