Elizabeth Line - total loss of signalling 26/11

The transition on the GEML is also done whilst on the move. Heading Westbound it's when you're more or less Country End of Stratford. Heading Eastbound, it's departing Country end of the platform.

Elizabeth Line now has most cancellations

The down main was closed from Southall West to Dolphin Junction. I was 30 late into Reading this morning. Pretty much stop/start from EB to West Drayton. A lot of traffic to signal down the Relief line. Hence all the delays

Basic qualified train driver salaries and basic T&c’s

Have no idea what you're talking about? Never have got Sunday pay. It's an average 4 day week, with Sunday's inside. Basic is just over £69k. You get that after being qualified for a year.

Basic qualified train driver salaries and basic T&c’s

This is slightly wrong. Sunday's are already inside the working week, no such thing as night pay or Sunday pay (driving grade, can't comment on other grades). Base salary is slightly higher on what you say.

    Train drivers overpaid?

And being responsible for upward of 1000+ passengers at any given time. Even more so on DOO routes when things go wrong and you're the only staff member on there.

    What’s going on with Thameslink?

Funnily enough a GN friend of mine has said the same to me. Even more worrying is that he's had whole diagrams cancelled. I drive for a different TOC but live in GN/TLk land and use these services to get to work at times. I've frankly given up and use the car now.

    Any Ex firefighters on here?

Ex FF too. Jumped ship nearly four years ago after 19 years in the service. No regrets whatsoever. Wish I'd done it sooner. Lots of ex colleagues/friends have joined the railway too. In fact, the Watch I finished on, all the FF's have left to join the railway as drivers. I'd highly recommend the...
