    Yellow-fronted trains

    Merseyrail. New Stock.

    I was told years ago, by a member of the team bringing the 508 stock into service at Birkenhead North Dept, that because theyhad longer bodies and longer bogies, this was the reason they were getting so much wheel/flange wear. Is this right? Would Merseyrail be better getting shorter or light...
