First two journeys on 398s today, only the shuttle from Queen Street to the Bay and back mind but thought they were mostly fine. Only complaints from the staff on board was how close the seats are to the cab doors.

The alert is on this page, which is unfortunately a completely different page to the one you've linked despite it living on the same domain.
Regarding the sinkhole, I've found this photo on facebook, no idea if it's real.
I can't answer the questions that you ask, and I am sorry if someone has suggested this previously, however I think this might be part of the reason they're only running them to mid day currently?
There isn’t a second one at Coryton unfortunately. I do keep meaning to suggest it. I always get on the back of the train when getting off at Coryton so I can pass the validator on my way to the exit up the steps.
I’ve bought a ticket on the app and have requested a refund from TfW support. I already have a case open as the validator at Coryton was down on two separate evenings.
They helpfully suggested that I used the validator on the opposite platform.
Noticed this morning that the contactless validator at Birchgrove supports Apple Pay Express Transit but the one at Coryton doesn't for whatever reason.
There's usually a good selection of sandwiches, snacks, hot drinks and soft drinks available. I think the seats are quite nice but I don't remember what other TOCs are like. There's no complimentary alcohol. I think you could make it worth it for £13 personally.
Freezing temperatures have cause a rail to break so no trams can run between Cathedral and Malin Bridge/Middlewood.

Not sure where the break is but surely they can run a partial service on both sides of the work?
