    Cement....seems that there is a problem with the Centenary Bridge over the Ship Canal preventing the usual ships coming in from Ireland...until that is resolved the trains will probably continue to bring the cement in for distribution by road..usual load is 18 JGA's..4 trains have run so far.

    The last freight ran 16.2.21 when 70801 headed the Oxwellmains-Weaste cement tanks..prior to that the previous freights were back in 2016 when there was a problem on the Ship Canal preventing the usual boats coming over from Ireland.These workings were from Northfleet...July 2016.A railtour...

    The Arkonia is currently moored at Weaste(18/4) and boats seem to be arriving every 10 days or so.Although there is a weekly path from Oxwellmains overnight Thursday/Friday until December there is currently no return working shown on RTT?

    Eccles to Weaste freight traffic

    RTT is showing a Peak Forest -Weaste aggregates path (19/5-22/5) loading to 1800 t although this hasn't run yet(as at 20/5). There is no return path from Weaste,this would be first traffic on the branch for some time..possibly was last used in 2016. Anybody throw any light ?

    195121 today(Good Friday) worked the 15.17 Leeds-wigan Wallgate.. returning with the 17.56 from Wigan.Possibly the first 195 on the Leeds-wigan service although not the first on the Salford Crescent to Wigan via Walkden route due to diversions and ecs moves.

    New paths have appeared mon-fri for a 2200 t out/600 t return flow.This runs from Collyhurst St.(Miles Platting) ..presumably on the former Oldham Rd branch...to Scunthorpe Roxby Gullet.Looks to be another "binliner" but have been passed recently and haven't noticed any sign of loading facilities..?
