A lot of people I know are incredibly sceptical of Andy Burnham and how he was just shuffled into Number 10. We've not seen anything of any substance from him apart from a lot of PR spin. Someone wil have to take the flak for the mis-use of the alert system.

Give them a chance for crying out loud. Maybe they are actually trying to come up with a robust plan rather than a knee-jerk reaction - you can't suddenly magic up a replacement fleet overnight or re-design an entire network. The days of family members / fitters hopping in to cover a shift is...
