Just looking at the livery, it seems to have a bit of 'Edinburgh' influence with the gold band on the lower panels. Lothian had a similar band until recently also on the lower panels.

Tramboards would be a great help, but Lothian management did away with them and then the 'Via' polnts screen so I'd say there's no chance of them meking a come-back. However, I agree that a bus with a faded screen is better than no bus at all.

I really liked the 'swoops' livery of a few years back and though the 7xx electrics revived the traditional layout of madder and white bands, the lower deck needs the gold band below the windows to make it a 'real' Edinburgh bus. (Mind, I could be sentimental for the old days!)

The instantly recogniseable madder and white of Edinburgh Corporation was simple and classical until that awful Harlequin livery was inflicted on Lothian buses.

Now that Lothian buses have digital screens, 'Part Route' is shown in a box block before the destination. Another box shows a 'broken' arrow for 'Route Diverted' buses. 1761511024 I remember seeing that and always thought it was to save the driver changing the front screen at each terminus!

I notice that Centrebus group are using 4 figure fleetnumbers for new deliveries. Is this is a sign of the fleet(s) being renumbered? For example, the 9xx are used for Scania 94s, Scania 230s, Enviro 400s, Volvo B7TL and B9TLs. Surely this is the ideal time to number the fleet to get rid of...
