    To be fair they probably didn't know the water would breach the railway at that point - I think they tried to use the JCB to try and help divert some of the water when the rescue operations started.

    From the rail performance website there is a run on 20.11.88 of 20 minutes and 46 seconds from Paddington to Reading.... The HSTs with worn tyres go the fastest don't they?

    Assuming the Injectors get fixed, the tour page says it should be leaving Paddington at 08:37am, any idea when it would pass Maidenhad? ( I am guessing circa 9:20am? )

    yes we can blame Mrs Thatcher for not completing her own vision. If she had her way then all the platforms and tracks out of Waterloo would have been ripped up and replaced by a road and it would be a Motorway from Waterloo to Exeter!

    According to some of their paperwork changes include slewing some of the tracks at Maidenhead. (Not sure for what reason)
