Hi all,

I've noticed that for well over a year now, 66008 has been sitting at Toton not doing anything. Looking at sightings lists, it looks like something must've happened between June and August 2015, where it has only been seen at Toton since. Does anybody know why it is there? What happened?

Thanks

Someone will know the exact story, but 66008 was in Poland for a while and appears to have had some modifications done for this (see youtube video). So possibly it's returned from there and currently not enough demand for it to get it reconfigured for UK use?

Thanks for clearing that up folks.

The OP's original Q is still a mystery though?

It's not the only one. 66141 and 66081 are in the same siding as 66008 at Toton and none of them have moved for some time. Guess there's no requirement for them at this moment.

Presumably they are keeping the batteries charged etc.....
