If its not a timing point, timing will be amended to include the layover time between the nearest two available timing points, usually the timetable will then be amended with a footnote to explain the additional running times, or they'll use the performance/recovery columns to edit the running...
Still on hire, definitely on the Saturday diagram as its 1441 ex Temple Meads. Still in use on Swindon Line, service was diagram that works 1814 ex Swindon. Unit still causes confusion as people try and get on or off at leading door, all fgw 158s open however the leading door on the SWT sets...
IOW has not been TPWS'd to my knowledge and therefore would not require retro fitting of equipment. As far as I am aware, there has not been a requirement for 38 stock to be OTMR'd either, also fitting it into the system would probably require a heafty rebuild of componants and probably...
On the problem of the 158 air con, it has been a problem for a while now and is hard to reset once an mcb blows or the senors fail. The main problem is getting the system to balance again - it isn't just a case of pressing one button as with a office type system. The system takes several...
One of the ideal candidates for AC services could be a varient of the 350/1 which was in effect the AC version. Don't forget that when LM ordered the 350/2s, they were designed for 3+2 layout which in was vertually identical to a 450 inner suburban classification. I must say that I do prefer...
Yes - if you use BRR Route randomiser for BVE 2/4 or select it using the "Browse/recently used" tab to search for it in open bve. Be warned that if it is not set up correctly for open bve, it may not display as it should, but should still run. (You may get tranparency or sound errors etc with...
The ideas were that they were "supposed" to be kept as seperate fleets, ie. the 350/1s would work the longer distance services such as the crew/liverpools etc and that as said previously the 350/2s were meant for local work, hense the higher seating capacities. However, as we tend to see...
Shame you wern't after full size ones, was going to sugest contacting FGW - they seem to have a few lately, including one 153 seen at Gloucester which was producing as much if not more smoke than Tornado!
Yeh would agree - would explain only partial tranmission. They will normally fail it as it can damage the gearbox if left to carry on too long, but it may have been working back to the depot or waiting attendance by travelling fitter.
Although they can't work in multiple, both unit types are fitted with tightlock couplers so I would tend to agree with above or at least a stock move depot to depot for example - besides which the operating system would be completly different for starters!:D
If memory serves me correctly, there are at least 3 or 4 each way during the week which are ECS to Waterloo - think one does basingstoke and one does farnham? too.
15 car could be ran but they would need to lock one of the units out using selective door control to open the doors. They would also need to isolate some of the Traction Motors as the supply wouldn't take it. Its why its only ever done as a last resort and then only for as short a distance as...
Has anyone been on SWT 158884 (I think its that one anyway!) this past week or so? I've had it a couple of times now and the PIS seems to have been corrupted somewhat, it doesen't seem to like the Salisbury romsey service and coughs and spits at various points - Romsey seems to cause it hassle...
I am sorry to announce that the xx.xx to Maybank has been cancelled. This is due to operational dificulties in the norton (!) area. We appologise for the inconvienience this may cause you. Please listen for further announcements........ :D

It is really but as was pointed out several times to some of my mates, how many times have dupes been required or hired and no coaches were available?:D Certainly back in the 80s it was not uncomman for new service vehicles to be substituted for a coach and in particular DPs were used to replace...
I am indeed, should be in service - think its gona be 421s or 556's (Stonehouses or Brookethorpe - Nailsworth at somepoint).
Am also doing cheltenham this weekend for anyone whos interested, definatly doing 10/11 from race course to St Margarets Coach Station, probably other trips as well...
