Penalty fare and outside of appeal date

Locally we do this between ourselves and a neighbouring station while using the same method of communication to inform any RPIs should a customer also be travelling fraudulently. This has brought forth some good local results But yes completely agree with the above two posts that it does need...

    Help - prosection!!!

So you were paying for this monthly via Direct Debt or it was just some one-off payment? Not that is means anything, just curious if whoever the friend's friend was, was able to make a comfortable living taking monthly payments with little/no effort on their half

    Help – Court Summons

Very much agree with Dave's above information and, while you certainly seem bright enough, you would make sure it is all backed up in writing so that if Abellio did not drop the matter or were unable to in time to withdraw the Summons that you could present that as evidence for the matter to be...

    Summoned to Court

Bit confused why you refused the PF as it gave you 21 days to pay it so, if you couldn't afford it at the time, you may have been able to cobble together the money before it expired. Oh well, as the above has said seems Court is now route

    Help – Court Summons

Have you attempted to call or contact the TOC in question's prosecution department to see if they would accept a last minute out-of-Court settlement? It might be cheaper/easier than hiring/contacting a solicitor to deal with a non-recordable byelaw matter

Penalty fare and outside of appeal date

Did you not receive the £XX amount PF notice there-and-then and pay that? Always easier to pay then appeal, than appeal and realise it has gone 21 days with no reply

FCC Penalty Fare - Advice Please

Likely an Intention to Prosecute letter as a Penalty Fare can only be issued there-and-then and in the eyes of the Inspectors it does look a bit suspect of you hoping off the train, making your way to the exit to then turn around when you see others being checked. From their point of view that...

    Delays at Paddington (21-22 June)

Rear door failed to close. PAD-BRI was sent to collect them all 30ish mins later

    Delays at Paddington (21-22 June)

And now a bridge near Sydney Gardens, just outside Bath Spa station, has reported damage. When it rains. It pours

    Delays at Paddington (21-22 June)

Yeah that was also exhausting. From what I could understand, a seal on a pipe had failed and so the train couldn't move. Not that I could understand much more than that or what the importance of the pipe was. Although that train was struggling to leave Bristol TM. 3 HSTs had to go off...

Whole day has been pretty chaotic. Cable theft in the Slough area

    Intended notice of prosecution

The scene that Haywain describes is one I personally see on a regular basis on Sat/Sunday morning services when just starting the shift. Again, from personal experience, as there are mates around and booze still in the body - silly things can happen. Not to say your son has but you can see why...

    Help Daughter in Bits

If she has arrived via Weymouth Avenue then the Penalty Fare sign is by the car park and open platform area which she would have had to walk past if the ticket office was closed. They would have then needed to go over the bridge to get to the, usual, platform for Weymouth. If via Cromwell...

    Revenue Protection Inspector Assessment FGW

Which region did you apply for and out of which depot? If it was the Central region and either Westbury or Bristol Temple Meads let me know and I'll see if I can ask one of them any questions you have when I next see them.

    Court Summons - Help Appreciated

I had someone quote an incorrect station over a 10p fare which ended up snowballing into something much worse. Anyway in the OPs case, how long has between the initial and the summons letter? Also how long between your reply and the summons? Surely if, say, after 2-3 weeks you thought that...

JCPlus discounted tickets also don't seem to work on barriers. At least I'm yet to see one that did

Rather large out of court settlement

Half and half. If I am issuing a PF and the person is willing to pay there-and-then with a £20 note, the process is a lot quicker. There's less need to check details as the fare is being paid in full, that is unless I suspect there's more to it. (E.g. issued a PF and the person gave me...

PFN Disputed - Summons Issued - False Witness Statements

Sorry I'm a bit lost here, so my question might be incorrect, but how did you appeal the PF if you never received a copy? I'm pretty sure you are meant to send a copy of your PF to the appeals address
