I can think of two individuals recently dismissed from their roles from a Premier League club out-of-the-blue with the club then quick to back the manager.
However "major club" could be near-to any team and might not necessarily be a Premier League team
It might also be related to several banks restricting access to cards for items other than payments, such as FGW's policy for no collection code = no ticket, so a change to the way we receive online pre-paid tickets
Also, one hopes, you told Tfl (or whoever the replacement is with) that it isn't "lost" but was withdrawn by a member of staff due to travel irregularities.
If it was the first, you might be about to open up another can of serious worms
Very lucky that this didn't happen! A little while ago I took down someone's details, asked if it was to be paid cash or card for which the reply was card. The individual handed over their card which had a completely different name to the one given to me.
Unfortunately for them, we had BTP on...
I remember asking them a question on my induction tour of BRI and they were like, "I dunno. Go look." I was like, dude... this is your station.
If only that place was an ol' school travel centre. Such an awesome location to have one as well :(
I'd recommend to also find out what Bristol Temple Meads Station Manager is like, what his views are on things such as revenue protection, staff cover etc as you'll be his right or left hand.
Temple Meads is about to undergo some changes with Network Rail now taking over the station and with...
That's where things became more fun for this journey.
Connecting train was timed to depart Birmingham New Street at 2044 on Thursday 3rd which gave plenty of time to connect. However the 2044 does not exist and, since the next train would not have allowed me to complete the journey, we had to...
*nods*
And with the tickets my partner had, Advance VN&Connections, we would have followed the instructions of the seating reservations and gone on to Birmingham New Street and played with a bit of fire on the tight connection had I not checked to see the quickest route was change at Wolverhampton.
We've been instructed to already do this, print all 3/4, on the same ticket to avoid any individuals in the group either losing their ticket and invalidating all the others or anyone coming back without the others.
Also saves on ticket stock. Got to think about those trees :P
That very thing nearly caught me out the other day when trying to make a tight connection in Birmingham New Street. It was more efficient to cross platform for the XC service than stay on the Virgin service
I had a great SWT Guard who said, "I don't use that fancy chip stuff here." Me being in my rail staff uniform, "Sign here and you can keep the ticket."
Went to show me how ridiculous the online/offline thing is.
So would statement a) mean you usually buy the top up on board or at Birmingham ticket office?
If the information about the run was told to the RPI was told, me may have raised it further in the knowledge that it takes overr an hour to walk between the two stations - so if you were in work...
That's what I though, unless it is a more severe or long term injury so SWT possibly don't want to risk losing a new member of staff long term?
Admittedly this is guess work, it just didn't seem like it got to reference checking stage
