    St Andrews ‘Railbus’ ticket

The issue appears to be that the Railbus portion of the fare is not senior railcard discountable, hence doesn't display any fares. The Railbus fare seems to have most value as a return within a month period return rather than a day ticket with the supplement being £5.40 single or £10.80 return...

Which long-established stations are showing good patronage growth?

Lincoln and Hykeham following a series of improvements to services - two trains an hour on the Nottingham line all day and direct services to London. Hykeham has also had an increase in local businesses with a lot of rail commuters.

Class 810 for East Midlands Railway Construction/Introduction Updates

The lack of excessive heat is naturally helping a lot with things like the engines and air conditioning. Other issues still occurring.

Skegness by EMR this Summer, 2 car 158s today, must be cozy

It can, but maybe not at even half hourly spacings with some waits being needed.

Skegness by EMR this Summer, 2 car 158s today, must be cozy

    About 140 seats on a 2 car 158 and 180 on a 3 car 170. The 3 car 170 has far more luggage space than a 158 though.

My son has just received a fine to be paid in full of £3115 in 14 days.

Could be - but it's a huge number for a 15 year old to reach!

Skegness by EMR this Summer, 2 car 158s today, must be cozy

More 3 car 170s have been deployed on Liverpool - Norwich services with the 158s swapped to Skegness.

My son has just received a fine to be paid in full of £3115 in 14 days.

A fine of over 3 grand would be worthy of the news, something will be amiss there. It's about 10 times the usual amount imposed by a court for the offence and it won't have gone that far yet.

Skegness by EMR this Summer, 2 car 158s today, must be cozy

Newquay is a shortish branch conveniently interfacing with the mainline. Skegness is a long way away from it's nearest mainline at Grantham and I can't imagine LNER would be remotely interesting in trundling a train at 50 and 60 mph tops all the way to Skegness whilst the regular summer...

Skegness by EMR this Summer, 2 car 158s today, must be cozy

Sadly it's not really a good income though. The numbers are an error on the spreadsheet, it's a near 5 hour round trip for the units so is resource heavy, the fares under the present system don't really make much money for the business unit providing the service. The through fares are fairly...

Ghost drivers - Fatal crash on A66

Ultimately if you get off on posting videos of dangerous driving etc there's a fair argument that you're beyond saving anyway. In my town there is a big problem with balaclava'd teenagers stealing motorbikes, riding them dangerously around town and filming the whole process for social media...

    EMR Regional and Connect refurbishments

Depends what you call home. Salisbury has been the shortest time period it's been allocated to a depot. I think it spent about 15 years allocated to Heaton, 9 years at Salisbury and 11 years at Eastcroft.

    EMR Regional and Connect refurbishments

That finished with the end of the South West Trains franchise in 2017 or so, the lease formally transferred to EMT then.

    EMR Regional and Connect refurbishments

It's been proposed internally as an option for the unit for a while. Was confirmed as likely to be departing the other week. Annoying really, actually having some luggage space is quite helpful.

All cross country services suspended 23/08/26

Rather confusing as to how it can happen really. It appears they were evacuated from their control office yesterday afternoon which has lost power and they can't access the majority of their IT to even send out disruption messages or updates. Seems the only trains they are running are the...

Some of them are booked to call depending on pathing requirements, but not all.

Ghost drivers - Fatal crash on A66

There is a feral population who think they run the show in this country who have no respect for the rule of law or societal norms. They need nipping in the bud by any means necessary.

Scrap EMR Connect and extend Thameslink to Corby

The staffing issue has had a resolution for ages. It's just not been used.
