Bad news!:(
The Stanier third open coach caught fire yesterday morning at Wirksworth.
It is thought that welding work late on Sunday evening started something smouldering which later caught fire and made a mess of the interior.
Two fire engines and a dozen firemen attended.
We are having another visiting loco, J72 69023 'Joem'.
It should be arriving tomorrow (Friday 12th) and will be staying at least until the August Bank Holiday weekend when it may be hauling the Vintage Train.
Currently at the West Shed at the Midland Railway Butterley.
An opportunity to photograph the 2 'Princesses' together this weekend.
