So, after 18 months out I am back on the railways on 1 Dec to start training as a Customer Service Professional (conductor) for TPE. Any advice on what to expect during the training/job would be much appreciated.
I am about to be invited to a Conductor Assessment for First group, has anybody done this on here? What should I expect, I have received all the practice tests.
Also, what kind of shifts do conductors do for first, ie the hours??
Thanks in anticipation of any replies.
My Dad is looking for a few class 142's that are based at Cardiff, does anybody know if you can see them a bit further north. Unit numbers are 142006, 010, 069, 075, 077, 083.
I am due on a course in the midlands in a few weeks and may get a day out at a station doing some spotting. Was wondering where was best in the Midlands for sheer volume of trains as its a long time since I have been down there.
Hi, am new to this forum so thought would just say hi. I currently work at Halifax signal box, the land of the dmu's. Only seen 1 freight train in 3 years!!
Is Preston good for spotting? Have not been for years, usually go to Doncaster or Warrington Bank Quay. What do you get through there these days?
Also, is there somewhere good to park nearby?
