I wonder if CrossCountry could get 2 additional Class 221 Super Voyager units, 221142 and 221143, after the short term lease expires in May this year when they are...
If the new CrossCountry franchise by the government begins, it could restore the services when the franchise was previously operated by Virgin Trains years ago, before it was taken over by Arriva.
Services to Swindon, Liverpool Lime Street, Blackpool North, Portsmouth, Brighton, Poole, Swansea...
Should CrossCountry keep Turbostar fleets and Local services, if the franchise changes in 16th October 2027? Considering the Class 170 unit, 170101 have been refurbished and repainted into a new Red and White livery, and more Turbostars will be refurbished this year or next year.
I was thinking the idea about there could be changes for West Midlands Trains, Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry and East Midlands Railway franchise. West Midlands Trains could be rebranded as Midlands Trains and the London Northwestern Railway services and the Class 150/1 Sprinter, Class 350...
When I've heard that Grand Central has applied to extend its track access rights on the East Coast Main Line until 2038, they will replace the 10 Class 180 fleets with a new Bi-Mode Trains to tackle the carbon emissions. So I wonder what will the Class 180s go, after the new trains take over for...
I looked on wikipedia about Liverpool Lime Street and looked at the proposed services. Interestingly enough, it has CrossCounty on it. And it noted:
CrossCountry Trains Consultation 2018
The Department for Transport's 2018 consultation on the future of the CrossCountry franchise, which was due...
I was thinking about the idea of London Northwestern Railway services could be merge into West Coast franchise, after West Midlands Trains franchise is expired in 20 September 2026. After that, West Coast franchise is due to be expired in 18 October 2026 or there is an option to extend the...
7 and 16 Class 222/0 Meridians used to be formed as 7 and 4 carriages when they are first built between 2003 and 2005 for Midland Mainline and had entered the service in 31st May 2004 and replaced InterCity 125 and Class 170 Turbostars for London St Pancras International to Nottingham...
After the Grand Central withdraw the two of Class 221 Super Voyager units for the short term of 12 years, the Class 221142 and 221143 could either be stored away, be transferred to Grand Union in 2025 or join the CrossCountry Trains, after the 12 units are transferred.
Or maybe the 2 carriages...
When I heard that Grand Central has leased 2 of Class 180 Adelantes, 180110 and 180111 in 2023. Are they in short term lease or will they stay with the franchise for now?
I was thinking about an idea about CrossCountry franchise would change on the 16th November 2027 and it will make changes for the railway, routes, services and rolling stocks. It would extend some of the services, inherited the Bombardier Voyager fleets and they would either be converted into...
I've heard that the Class 175 number unit,175008 had a fire damaged on the 1 carriage while it was on the Holyhead to Cardiff Central services. 175007 and 175101 have also had a fire damaged as well. I was wondering if those 3 units could be repaired or not, however they will be replaced by the...
Would anyone have an opinion on CrossCountry Trains they could order new trains like Hitachi AT300 to replace the Class 220 Voyagers and Class 221 Super Voyagers after the franchise changes in October this year? Because the diesel trains run under the overhead wires between Coventry to...
Grand Central could order the new 14 Bi-Mode Hitachi Agility Trains 300 so they could replace the Class 180 Adelantes due to the unreliability and have many problems to run on the London King's Cross to Sunderland to Bradford Interchange services. However, the franchise would be expired or end...
I have just heard from Modern Railways Magazine that the 4 Class 180 Adelantes will be leaving East Midlands Railway when they will be replace by Class 810 AT300 Aurora fleets to run on the Midland Mainline this year. There might be possible that they could be cascaded to Grand Central Railway...
I just thinking about the idea that after the electrification for the Midland Main Line is completed over the years, Liverpool to Nottingham via Manchester and Sheffield and Nottingham to Norwich via Grantham and Peterborough could be electrified as well so the Class 360 Desiros could operate on...

So has the 153302 been scrapped? I thought all of the 70 Class 153s will be rebuilt into 35 Class 155s as a original plan.
So the Class 377442 the 4 carriage will be permanently a 377342 the 3 carriage after the 78842 is written off? I Think it may be scrapped and deemed beyond repaired.
I've heard the news from UK Rail News on Instagram. Northern would want to more new CAF Civity trains. And it says here:
Northern Trains might well be looking for a follow up order on their new CAF fleet.
Northern seem to want to have a more uniform fleet. This may lead to more Class 195s...
