Does anyone know where the engineering works have been taken place this weekend between Saltburn and Middlesbrough. Noticed the stop signs were just down from longbeck station but seen no engineering trains
Few northern services between Darlington and Saltburn and Newcastle and Nunthorpe cancelled today according to realtime trains due to a planning error. But what does this mean
On RTt there alot of missing services.
Normally one train to bishop Auckland. Then 30 minutes later one to Darlington.
Today the Darlington train is now one every 2 hours
And majority of transpennie services are heavily reduced
NEWS Rail Accident Investigation Branch is deploying inspectors to gather evidence following an accident involving a light engine and a stationary passenger train at Grosmont station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
So how often do points have to fail before network rail does something about it. Trains were disrupted 3 days last week because of points failure at redcar central and again today

Is there any plan from network rail to improve saltburn station
Platform 2 the trains seem to stopping further and further away from the buffers
Platform 1 rarely used unless when they alternate platforms
