My big gripe with Merseyrail is the fares though.
Just a quick question regarding the 1730 Glasgow-Euston ...does the first class meal service apply to passengers joining at Preston as well as further North. Thanks in advance if anyone knows?
Not sure about this one but some of the rovers out there offer 4 from 8 instead of consecutive days. Does anyone know how the tickets issued or are they separate and do you have to nominate which of the 4 days you wish to travel?
No sure if this one has been covered but how does expiry in relation to the time on an All Line Rover work?
For example if it was going to expire tonight at 0000 is it ok to start your journey before midnight on one train then finish the next morning without needing an extra ticket?
Was wondering for example on the Caledonian Sleeper latest time you could reserve a seat on the day northbound considering it leaves at 2115?
Anyone tried on the day?
Thanks
With Passenger numbers falling on the Sleeper over the last couple of years surely Serco must look at the prices for people joining the service at Crewe or Preston?.
If you you travel from London-Fort William booking through Seco the fare is exactly the same if you join at Crewe or Preston...
i know back when i used to do sleepers no one cared about who got on or off but has anyone tried boarding the caledonian sleeper at set down only points for example Crewe or Preston southbound?
i Think 87002 is in charge!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Confirmed leaving Watford 130 late....87002 to be detached at Crewe for spare 92. 92043 failed twice once at Euston and again near Willesden
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
87002 all the way to Edinburgh...
Noticed some footage of 87002 on 1S25 good friday out of Euston a truly majestic site to see again! How far does 87002 work the train before the 92 at the other end takes over and what happens when the reverse takes place?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Only as far as wembley?
I know it's clutching at straws but in the event of a problem with a 92 on the sleepers could 87002 or 86101 be used to haul the sleeper as well as ECS movements??
Just a quick one regarding this service from Waverley is it a Voyager or Pendolino, and are the majority of London via Birmingham services from Glasgow and Edinburgh Voyagers or not?
Thanks
Thinking of having a second shot at a C.S.A position, i applied a couple of months ago so not sure if there's a period where you cant apply. I got a feeling i may of got the the online questions wrong, it asks you to prioritize the following.
Its approaching rush hour and one of the...
Applied yesterday for a CSA vacancy, got a rejection email this morning. I have 18 years experience of customer service based roles, im currently in a managerial posistion where i work as well. Would they be suspicious about someone wanting a career change and taking a pay cut at the same time...
Was wondering if anyone on here is in this position and could give me some insight into what the contract hrs, shift pattern and is there overtime available?
Thanks in advance
Noticed on the WCML cam near Preston that 1M11 sleeper went past with an 86 on the front presumably 86101 just wondering if anyone had any Gen as to what happened to the 90 failed??....train was bang on time though

could of also been 86701 or 702?
Heard the rumours about WCRC refurbushing 47s to take over the sleepers and ETL to run the AC legs 86/701/702 86101/87002 anyone know anymore about this as the 92s are not going to be used on the sleepers?
In a recent issue of todays railways there was a supplement with all the various rovers available and maps, im pretty sure they have got the map of the West Mids ddy ranger next to Heart Of England, Just wondering if anyone knew if The West Mids Day Ranger go's as far as Chester and Banbury, ive...
Was on 1M16 last night and all the way from Edinburgh the driver had no concept to get to a smooth stop, It was like he would go to brake slow down then nearly stop then slam on, had a driver on the same train last year and he was flawless never woke up at any stops after edinburgh, anyone care...
Been looking into ways of ticket options southbound on the 1950 Fort Bill-Euston. When you search for say Fort William-Crewe on the scotrail site it gives you a rather expensive price of £94.00. I did a seperate search on the same train and an advance single is £15.90 to edinburgh then if you...
Looking into trying to get some of these but was wondering about whether if you booked for two berths and only one person travels if theres any written rule about not using the other berth? Also according to the scotrail site the tickets must be used only to and from london or scotland not...
