Afternoon folks
As someone who is on the verge of landing a job on the railway, I was wondering if some experienced drivers could tell me what attitudes towards new drivers are like?
I mean this in the sense that a new driver might be slightly slow or prone to being delayed as driving alone...
Basically the whole railway recruitment process. I understand there is a process to go through and I hope to successfully go through it this time. Back in BR days was it as simple as "its who you know" to get a job?
Also, was there an emphasis in researching the company and its values (Not BR...
Is it just me or do there seem to be a lack of trainee mainline and depot driver jobs coming up at the moment?
My local ones are EMT and external trainee opportunities seem to have stopped in the past 2 years. Northern don't seem to have as many as they used to as well.
