Until recently I have always used the National rail maps to view the all stations maps on my iPad, now both the interactive and static map’s aren’t viewable on my iPad browser. What alternatives are there?
For lesure trips from Peterborough can I use my NFC enabled iPhone to load a one day Z1-6 or Z1-3 travel card onto my ENCTS card?
I occasionally get an e-ticket Peterborough to Finsbury Park and a separate Z1-3 physical travel card but otherwise a Thameslink off peak travel card.
Found these two photos clearing out my parents house, my father had a temporary job working in the Balfour Beatty Peterborough office. I am not a railway person but wondered if the Mentor carriage was used as part of the commissioning process?
The IT equipment looks dated now and it must of...
Booked two off-peak day returns (with disabled railcard) for today from Bosham to Ryde Hovercraft terminal from Raileasy with etickets. Arrived at Bosham this morning to find out that 09:19 to Portsmouth and Southsea was cancelled. Decided to drive to Hovertravel at Southsea rather than wait an...

Obviously a lot of rust damage is just superficial and doesn’t affect structural integrity but it must be a full time job to regularly check every bridge, particularly for damage to hidden internal load bearing elements.
How often would each bridge be examined by structual engineers, is this...
I will be using a FOSS 3in7 rover starting from Lydney later this month, weekdays it is valid from 9:00am and the NRE site dosnt mention any easments for travel before then but http://www.railrover.org/pages/freedom-of-severn-and-solent-rover.html suggests it can be used for off peak journeys...
Upgraded my iPhone to new IOS this morning was then unable to display my Disabled rail card, fixed by re-installed app, Railcard helpdesk deleting my phone, re-installing App and using new download code. I also have my railcard on my wife’s phone as a standby, this had the same problem which was...
Have tried booking through Great Northern and National Rail sites, they only offer a one day off peak rtn travel card (£27-05 with SNR railcard), I can only find the off-peak rtn (Great Nortnern only £20-65) on ticketclever site - why isn’t this fare available on the other sites?

Last minute decision to go to London from Peterborough on Saturday, two of us, both with rail cards. I usually buy online and collect from TVM but ran out of time and bought at the TVM, wanted a off peak travel card, valid on VTEC as well as GN. I couldn’t see the correct ticket on the front...
When Peterborough station was modernised the plans included new public access from the west of the station off Thorpe Road. Although the additional footbridge was built it only seems accessible to railway staff, is this likely to change in the further, perhaps after the NR project office next to...
Intending to purchase an off peak travel card from Peterborough (£23:30 with SNR railcard). NRE site suggests I can return on 16:40 but this doesn't seem allowed by the Great Northern evening off peak restrictions page - which is correct?
