My TVM confusion, is it me??

Last minute decision to go to London from Peterborough on Saturday, two of us, both with rail cards. I usually buy online and collect from TVM but ran out of time and bought at the TVM, wanted a off peak travel card, valid on VTEC as well as GN. I couldn’t see the correct ticket on the front screen so picked Kings Cross as the destination and then spent several minutes scrolling through the list of tickets to find off-peak/travel card/any route - what was frustrating was having to click on the more info icon to check which company the ticket was valid on and that it was a travel card rather than a day return. Maybe because I was in a rush I was missing the blindingly obvious but it just wasn’t clear from the ticket descriptions, it would of helped to of been able to separately select one day travel cards etc. Apologies to regular TVM users, moan over.
