I'm looking to do some bus travel around Norfolk as part of doing a series of walks around Norwich and The Broads, and checking bus times led to me to also check where the bus stops were on Google Maps. I then noticed on just one road (a 50mph or National Speed Limit road) there are a number of...
Saw this story on the BBC today, and while it's written specifically about issues with Stagecoach West in Banbury, it's the same issue all over - and one of the issues I've moaned about for years.

I'm quite interested to find out more about how...
Finally seen a unit with the new vinyls in the toilets, to try and deter graffiti attacks.
It's a shame the ceilings don't get any treatment, although the interior is already darker as it is.
(Photos show disabled and regular toilet with dark vinyl coverings on the walls.)

Would be great to see GN Inners going up to 4tph all day, and a return to 2tph on late night 2C/R/L services - but somehow I doubt either are planned anytime soon.
Saw this on a 700 and wondered if the software might finally be getting updated to show more useful information relating to other services (and ideally, showing information relevant to GTR services - not just TfL).
Sadly the graphic seen here is all it did - with Central as a heading, but no...
Mod Note: If you have been contacted by GA regarding possible fraudulent claims for Delay Repay please post on this linked thread. The thread you are currently viewing is intended for wider discussions on the issues raise by GA's behaviour in this matter rather than for advice and assistance for...
I heard today the entire 377 (and 387) fleet will be getting a refresh, bringing improved charging solutions (USB-A or USB-C ports added perhaps?), LED lighting and real-time information displays (an entirely new PIS I assume?) - plus improved performance monitoring and fault diagnosis to...

Not a great week for sure. Any idea why the power tripped near Finsbury Park? Are these power supply issues relating to the big outage last year that took out so many 700s?
I know Google has a large presence at King's Cross, but I am not sure that's the reason for the change in emphasis on smartcard acceptance - putting G Pay up top.
My first thought is TfL want to actively promote other forms of payment over Oyster which is now relegated to the bottom of the...

Nobody has an MP right now, and most are busy at the moment.

Easy tiger. Don't want to harm their future prospects by punishing them. I'm sure we can let them off and hope they won't do it...
Chaos on the ECML this afternoon after 1T33 (8 car 387) broke down on the up fast through Welwyn Garden City after an ADD activation from Welwyn North and after a long wait, three people decided to release a door and run across the down fast/slow lines to exit.
The train was due to proceed and...

GTR must be planning to get rid of the remaining 365s as they're now keeping dispatch staff at some stations for just a few services a day. From a financial point of view, switching all trains to units with bodyside cameras (and self dispatch) would seem like a necessity...
I expect the next things to get abused, given the ease of which you can disable limiters, will be e-bikes and scooters. I am sure many of these will be sold this Christmas and in the new year, lots of people will forget that they can't be used in a lot of locations (roads, pavements etc)...
Another incident of abuse on a bus. So many happening these days.
Can't embed the video but here's a link to the videos, until such time that it inevitably gets posted to YouTube etc.
(video shows a man giving abuse to a driver, before attacking the cab from the inside and then outside...
Apparently there's an announcement tomorrow that Oyster will extend to Welwyn Garden City soon. I assume that means Contactless cards too, and maybe also to Hertford North?
Anyone know anything about this?
Surprised there isn't anything in the news about the incident this morning where a member of the public poured what was believed to be petrol on himself and a train (later found to be olive oil) with the power shut off and a train evacuation. Caused loads of disruption as you can imagine...
I mentioned a while ago on here about some security issues with GSM-R, but it has never been widely talked about. However a friend (he ran a magazine that I subsequently became editor of) has published a story about the problems with GSM-R that he has been researching for some time.
I'm not...
