Hi. Over the years, I’ve seen many trains from Moorfields arrive at Platform 2 at Liverpool Central and depart heading towards Brunswick…but one thing I don’t think I’ve ever seen is a train from Brunswick arrive at platform 1 and depart towards moorfields. Is this move possible…and has anyone...
I’ve just got off a train from Ormskirk at Liverpool Central. As soon as the train exited the link tunnel and entered the old Mersey railway tunnel, I noticed that there was a fire in the 4 foot on the opposite (Moorfields bound) track! Liverpool central station is currently being evacuated.
I heard somewhere the Wigan platform at Headbolt Lane has been designed to be less substantial than the two Liverpool ones to make it easily removable should extension to Skem or Wigan be approved in the future.
I remember reading somewhere that Northern were transferring their 4-car 331/1s to the north west and sending the 3 car 331/0s the opposite way...is this still happening?
I'm sorry if this has been asked before...but how come Saturday services between Lime Street and Warrington BQ are still run by diesels? Do northern not have enough 319's to cover?
