I think this tragic story serves to remind us how genuinely worried some people are when they turn to this forum for help.

I've just booked this trip (via Dublin - I like to take my time!).
I wanted to travel on the 'Swift' out of Holyhead and had a choice of two tickets:
a) Sailrail 'advance' at £54
b) Sailrail 'standby' at £59
When I booked this (on VT West Coast) the conditions for the advance ticket...
I don't know if anyone has mentioned the 'seat reservations' sometimes used on TPE. I saw these on the 1952 departure from Manchester Victoria to Newcastle last night.
All they say is 'This Seat My Be Reserved For All Or Part Of The Journey,' which doesn't seem to be very helpful and a source...
